small budget PR Ideas?

To get into a magazine for free then the best way would be to offer there readers something free in a competition... every magazine has competitons to win free stuff although this will cost you either time or money there is no up front cost, you will also get your logo/website and maybe a bit of info about your company in there as well.

Other ideas would be Radio stations I think you could get on there for free as well, it would take a little thinking and you would maybe need a strategy in place but it could be done quite easily.

Harvey H has a great idea. The other way is to come up with a celebrity hook for your product - if you can get (or pay) a celebrity to use your product, the press will automatically follow.

Try looking up articles in your niche. Contact the journalists that wrote them and tell them you can give them a story.

A lot of times these journalists are looking for things to write about. Serve them up a good story and you make their lives a lot easier, plus you get media exposure!

We have a local noon tv show where they usually showcase local businesses. All it takes is sending a press release about your product to one of the producers. You can always call and ask who that is. The smart people will get a copy of the video and put it on their youtube page and use it as part of their local promotions online. I've seen a few even use the words "As seen on Channel WXYZ" to try and borrow a little bit of credibility.

You can also look into doing a video press release for slow news days. Creating a video package about your product that looks like a news segment and seeing if you can get it picked up.

TV news and radio programs look for experts in various subjects all the time.

Instead of PR you can try with the display ads, this will help you a lot and you can see the better ROI.
