When do you prefer to call potential clients?

I'm thinking the morning or afternoon works the best, as at night they are starting to wrap things up?

Thoughts?

  • I target businesses with roughty 10-50 employees and from $5-$100 million in sales. I call at all times of the day but have had a lot of luck lately from 515-630pm.

More often than not, as the employees head home, the owner picks up the phone and I'm rolling. Today I had a great conversation with woman who runs three companies and it looks good at this point. The main thing is I make a lot of calls.

      Three-in-one, nice!

What're you selling her, if you don't mind my asking?

My lead in offer was for dormant client reactivation with email and direct mail. Since I'm good , that will lead to more copywriting and consulting.

She owns a marketing company. I have several niches and take one at a time and call them together. Maybe Tuesday software companies, Thursday marketing companies, etc.

I might be able to help with that. I do a lot of micro targeting with my dialer campaigns based on times of day (expected availability). For instance:

    1. Auto Repair - 8:00 - 8:45 a.m. Tues - Thurs works best.
    2. Restaurants 9-11 a.m. Tuesday.
    3. Dentists 9-12 Friday (they don't see patients that day).
    4. Bars 4 p.m. Tuesday and Weds

I could go on. I use software and never dial manually - same principle if you're doing it manually though. Run a highly efficient day.

My auto dialer - but I do campaigns for merchant cash advance companies and ISOs. So I'm required to know all this stuff... Lol

The best time for me is when at the customers/prospect will to talk to him, I always ask if I can have 3 minutes of his time and if he's busy I'll ask if when is the best time for him to talk with.
