Pay Pal / Bill Me Later Question

Hey all!

I recently stumbled into the Pay Pal - Bill Me Later option which I used to close a sale for someone who didn't want to use their Visa credit card as it was reserved for emergencies. I trusted the buyer as we have a long standing relationship but I'm reticent to do this again because I fear "theft of service" - meaning someone takes my service, then makes a fuss later, then PayPal removes the money from my account and the buyer walks away with free stuff.

My questions are; have any of you sold consulting services using Bill Me Later? Anyone experience any problems? I've called Pay Pal and Bill Me Later and asked a bunch of questions specifically related to this, and all I got were vague answers. They basically said; "you can sell anything except for weapons and porn but we do reserve the right to not offer this option for your services."

Thoughts?

I would stay away from PayPal in general; if someone doesn't want to pay you now, what's the chances of you getting paid after? Not to mention the hundreds of threads that have flooded this forum about Paypal holding funds and taking money.

I've had a merchant account and won't ever turn back.

I was going to but I think it is something low like a 150 dollar limit. You get paid upfront and they are put on a payment plan through paypal. I could be wrong with the limit but I think it was too low of a limit so I did not go for it.

Thought it would be good for say a 2,000 website if client could not afford it all upfront.

But yeah like said, stay away from paypal. They are awful.

I was told the limit is $25,000... I don't sell anything for 3 digits, ever, so that's why this is remotely attractive.
