Automating local directory listings...

I offer inclusion to local directories in most of my web development packages. Aside from the big three local... Google, Yahoo, and Bing... and also submit my clients to sites like Yelp, YellowBot, CityGrid, etc...
I'm looking for some advice from those of you who do the same. Some of these directories make you verify by phone and give you a PIN number to enter, others give you the PIN number on screen and prompt you to enter that number after they call. Is there any good way to automate this process? It's proving to be difficult to coordinate this verification between clients as sometimes the directories change the way they verify.
How do you automate this task for you clients? And if you outsource (something I'd like to do), how do you coordinate your workers to handle phone verification with clients?
