Hey Warriors,

What sorts of PROFIT GENERATING / MARKETING services are you guys offering where you can look a business owner square in the eye and charge $5,000 + while at the same time delivering REAL VALUE?

I've seen posts by folks where they are able to charge people $1,000 or $1,500 a month. Other posts where folks charge a "one off" $10,000 or so. So besides coaching, what are you selling to business owners that really helps them that is not a website or a coaching program?

        Right now, everything over $2,500.00 I refer to a Social Media/Internet Marketing Agency that I trained. 100% outsource of the work and I get monthly commission. Under $2,500.00, I keep to myself and out source to Phillipines and my favorite SEO firm but I oversee the projects.

    Well you took two off the list so let's see

    Training - This is a huge area that can be everything from web based training to DVDs to in person and even custom training for larger companies.

    Consulting - Of all kinds. This can be marketing, management, HR, etc

    Marketing (or other aspect) Management - HR is another big one in this. Basically your company handles all aspects of this for the client business. They pay a set fee and you use that to pay your company and any outsourcers. You are basically an Agency that acts as that dept for the company.

    Here's another one - Helping businesses increase their conversions.

    And another one that I found very profitable - setting up a complete sales funnel with a variety of complimentary products to upsell and cross-sell

    Pretty much anything that you have seen people offering $150/month for, there are those of us offering the same service for $2,000 +

    I think that a lot of it has to do with mindset.

    I think alot of warriors have been trained and only expect or believe that they are worth $150/month or even less.

    Like a few days a go someone was charging businesses $50/year for hosting. I mean seriously?

    I don't understand why someone charges so little.

      Someone I know got a $65,000 one time and $1,800/month for SEO.

      The $65,000 was 1,300 hours at $50. The company is a mortgage brokerage. They were going to integrate a couple of... Let me just list the services offered:

      CRM and Lead Tracking System
      Lead Reports (Campaign Reports, Lead to Loan Reports) (this one they figured 45 hours)
      Lead Email Marketing Web Site (SEO and forms)
      Mortgage Calculators Landing Pages System Realtor Communications Training System

      They did not get the job because they misspelled the owners name not because of the price. Well, maybe the price would have been a reason too... but the owner said no as soon as he saw his name misspelled on the proposal.

      As for me, I can get to $5000 easy if I get them google places, profiles on social media, mobile phone, ads/postcards for them, blog posts.

        How can social media be used to generate profits? I have yet to see a single use case for the LOCAL business owner where the presence of their social media profile directly attributed to positive ROI. Am I missing something?

          That depends on what you write there. You can put there a link to an optin page, then you send them emails/texts.

            One of the big 3 international accounting firms here in Auckland is spending 15k per month on Adwords and that is only for one division.

            And nobody has a clue if it is paying for itself!

            Ironic coming from an accounting firm.

            My point is go to big companies who have big budgets.
            And it helps if they are dumb so that what you do to get things humming is easy-peasy.

          The Social Media helps keep top of mind awareness.
          From there it should be used to inform and engage.
          The next step is to promote.

          Run a 3 week campaign on the business, things related to the industry.
          Use articles, videos and images.

          Then, run a coupon promo.

          This is the only kind of campaign I have done.
          Educate, engage, promote.
          The ROI is always great.
          I charge $99/month for posting, and then get at least 10% of the coupon promo. Companies on Daily Deal sites eat this up.

          I could develop a site, make the business discount their services, market to my list, and then take 30%-50% of that.

          Or, I could just have the business pay $99, discount their services and take at least 10%. That always works out.
          That is easier and less work.

            I've been thinking long and hard about deploying a strategy which allowed me to be a "mini Groupon" by selling deals on behalf of merchants online. Just doesn't seem to be enough business in it... Thoughts?

              I know the guy who had the biggest Daily Deal business in New Zealand.

              Sold out for 10's of millions.

              It aint a lifestyle business.

              They have sales people calling on businesses throughout the country then once a client is on board they have to keep pestering the clients to be on time to get the offer ready.

              Then having to find ways to get clients to repeat with fresh new promo's is even harder.

              Bit of a nightmare really.

              It's a huge infrastructure of people and resources to feed the machine.

              Other business models are better.

              He has now gone to pure e-commerce where he owns the product.

      It's ALL mindset. 100%. You do business with people who are like you. You go find people who are like you. Selling is a conceptual experience, not a technical one.

      Think you're small, you'll go find small clients.

      Think otherwise.


      Consider: you get paid in proportion to the size of the problem you solve. Solve a problem of getting me a hamburger, you get a buck. Maybe five or six, if the burger is really good. Solve me the problem of getting me 1,000 new clients, you get rewarded much more. Bigger clients give you the opportunity for larger scale: solving bigger problems. But do you, the reader, see yourself doing that? If you don't, you won't. You'll never get the courage to speak up and talk to these top dogs.

    The Groupon model is junk.
    The coupon model can work well.

    I make money by getting a back end fee.
    I get the back end of the coupon.
    Then take that coupon to some jv partners, and get a % of that back end.
    The company makes more, and I make more.
    Then I build up their list, which allows me to profit on the back end of additional services.

    I considered the daily deal scene... The numbers just didn't justify it.

    Landing Page Optimization + Managed PPC. Can be upwards of $10k per month with the right client and adds TONS of value.
