Reseller or salesperson model, which do you think is more viable for offline marketing?

Should I find people interested in selling my web design services as resellers i.e., herbalife style

or

Should I hire salespeople and pay them a commission?

Which is more likely to attract more people interested in working with me?
Which is "safer" from a legal standpoint?
Which model would you use?

In both cases, their profit would be about 50% of the price the end customer pays.

Either way you are essentially hiring a salesperson whether they are distributors or not, the title is irrelevant.

I would recommend that you first work on your business processes and make sure you have a proven sales strategy you can give your salesperson or distributor before they go out in the field.

Only very experienced salespeople can work without one and they need you a lot less than you need them.

I would pay them a small base each week just to keep their rent and petrol covered, maybe pay this to them for 2 or 3 months until they get the pipeline moving and then change to huge commissions + recurring for the life of their employment.

This is something I am planning to do in the future after I have sorted out some internal obstacles.
