I love your enthusiasm and ideas, but I've got questions on this one. Why would the dentist pay you for a video that ranks? Do you have proof that it converts into actual business? He wasn't interested and now suddenly is awestruck just because a video ranked? I just don't see how anyone would pay that much just to have a ranked video unless it had already produced viable leads.

Proof is not needed , just sales magic.

Im mean the guy can take a templated video, spend a few bucks on Fiverr and turn that into 2k in just a few hours, If I had that kind of talent I would never leave the house.

I think he is on the verge of ANOTHER multi million dollar business.

I just hope the dentist can handle the FLOOD of customers coming his way.

The dentist probably knows enough about google and the value of ranking highly in search results that he sees a lot of value in being in the top spot for the most valuable search term. Combine that with the MIDASMANS golden toungue and the dentist sees $$$$ Town domination thousands of perfectly joyous smiles that all found him via the video

BTW I love Don;s idiosyncratic style. He makes this forum, the world a much more interesting place.

Can you go into more detail about this part:

upload it to my YT Channel....get some "Reviews and BackLinks" from fiverr....do some "pinging" with "BulkPing.com"...."Mass-Ping.com" and "PingFarm.com" and WHALA....within an hour my video is on Ist Page for the Keywords.

Don't you think the video would make more sense and conversions if you can create a channel for the dentist and upload the video there? But if your channel get lots of daily visitors, it would make more sense to use your channel. Whatever, I'm happy for your success and good luck.

One thing I can attest to being in medical device sales..... Dentists are great at what they do. However, when it comes to marketing their practice/business, many lack that knowledge as they are not generally taught about it in med. school.
Dental sales is a great field to be in, as many dentists do rely on their sales reps for guidance in the promotion of their business.

Do dentists really answer the phone when they're "working" on patients?

Last time I was at the dentist and a call came in, I'm pretty sure the secretary took a message lol.

I think any monkey can see that Don embellishes the crap out of his stories. With all the bold, caplocks and anticipation building "...." that he uses.

However, I do know for a fact that ranking videos is both easy, it works, and you can charge good money for it. But a word of warning, make sure the video actually works before you go asking any businesses owners "are you ready for a flood of customers".

Like make sure you do a great job on the video if you're going to waste time ranking it in position 1. I know for home improvement, 1 geotargeted video typically gets 1-3 calls a month (if you've done your research/testing and know what to go after). So maybe for dentists its closer to 10-12. I don't know, but make the videos damn good so your clients get their moneys worth out of them. If they do, they should recommend you to all their patients who run their own business.

You need to leverage everything you can. Best way to do that is charge a tiny bit less than your videos are worth. Overdelivering value gets referals, underdelivering forces you to do more marketing which in turn wastes more time/money. So you decide which route you want to take.

I agree with Red.

Call me a hater, but this is a total fluke of timing and circumstance. I've been doing dental lead generation consistently since July of last year. If you sold a dentist that easy, then you are either in a small town or speaking to a total moron of a dentist. Either way it is NEVER that easy. And if it is, it's one in a million.

....and Don, if you really are that good, then let me know because I have boatloads of dental videos ranking very well and generating calls right now and getting a dental office to buy them is like.......pulling teeth.

I grew up in "Chi-Town" however....and that's a BIG HOWEVER....
I learned HOW TO SELL STUFF to "Dentists", Chiropractors, House Painters, Pest Control Cos....Realtors (Especially RE people)

It was either "Sell or Die!"

Thus....you have 2 babies at home, begging for food...with a young wifee (scared shitless) about where the next dollar is coming from....and her hubby may or may not, come home with enough cash to buy groceries or make the rent.

YOU....quickly learn....HOW to SELL! At least I DID!

Fast forward to 2013 and....most IM guys, don't have a CLUE about how to get biz owners to Fork Over cash!

Yup.... US...."ol-Time Sales Guys" were FORCED to "Learn How To Grab Prospects by the Ankles....Flip them upside down until cash falls out of there pockets!!!!"

AND....this did NOT come Easy-Peasy. We took Dale Carnegie sales courses....went to Sales Seminars...etc. WE "put in our Due-Deligence"!

Holy Camoly! WHO would ever imagine a "Kid from da South Side of Chgo would have some of the TOP Zillionaires in the country sending Money to HIM? Even a US Senator (Charles Percy) and W.Clement Stone (founder of Success Magazine)....and "Charles Walgreen III" and his son "Corky" and ....George Swift (Swift & Co meat packers) and...."Leonard Florsheim (Florsheim Shoes)...and, Charles Wrigley II (Wrigley Chewing Gum)...and John T. Pirie (Carson Pirie Scott)...etc....

I could go on and on however I think you get the "idea" that I...Don Alm...had "something" that was able to not only meet and greet these "Captains of Industry" AND....get them to instruct their "check-writing" people to....write checks to little ol' ME!

So....you take that kind of "MOXEY" and apply it to other stuff and guess what....the BASICS still apply!

Anyway....I'll get off my High-Horse.

See, now you're talkin' Donny-boy. Tell me you put in your time, and you've learned the ways of the Jedi sales masters. Tell me you've got some super-duper sales tricks up your sleeve. TELL ME you are THE MASTER of persuasion, and that small biz owners gladly eat from your pocket. I can BUY all of that.

DO NOT tell me, however, that the average dentist is salivating over the opportunity to spend $500/mo. on a crappy video - that isn't even generating leads yet. THAT is not real world. I know it, you know it, and the handful of guys in here who live with their boots on the ground SELLING and DOING for a living KNOW IT. Just keep it real, and you'll sell a whole lot more of those make money quick packages.

I agree I could easily see a dentist, just starting out, falling for this pitch

The hard part would be keeping him as a customer. I've looked at videos that show up first on the local search results, for the large city I live in, and the number of views they have is usually abysmal. Based on that I just can't see the Midasman's video generating enough leads to justify the expense.

Idiot pays $500/mo for video to exist on YouTube.

Less than 6 hours later two of his friends call wanting to be set up with it also.

The offline board here has some of the most absurd claims you will ever read. All you are doing is digging yourself into a hole. Tone it down. Make it more realistic. Better yet, just keep it real and admit that this is a plan you hope works out.

I know the dentist will get his money out of the advertisement from his first couple of patients. Congrats on landing the sale. I'm wondering if you were able to rank so high because of a low populated city. Possibly a small town that only has 7 dentists there. I know there are over 50 dentists in the small town that I live in so to rank that fast may be because of the lack of marketing material in that geographical location.
