boom boom boom Friday afternoon

Three calls, three sales so far. Friday after 4pm is one of the best times to cold call for me.

As one business owner told me just now, "I'm sitting here working and everyone is gone." Another bonus: She knows everyone in her small town. Everyone. Once I deliver for her, I'll own the town.

Call when others won't. Thar's gold in them thar hills.

Maybe you just catch them whilst they are tipsy at Friday afternoon drinks. You could sell them anything.

Fridays suck. Fridays after 4 REALLY suck.

why o why would you say different.

one lucky lick is not anything other then, one lucky lick.

That is true, but it is not Fridays after four or sunday's

1 hour before designated open time and 1 to 3 hours after designated close time.
if getting them to call you did not work... that IS the next best option.
    not friday.

  • You're probably right for most industries so I modified my original post to say 'for me.' I was all pumped because there is nothing better than making a lot of sales right in a row.

I can't explain it. Friday after 4p has always been exceptionally profitable for me over the decades. Today was the same and I hit a streak.

Even better: Shark Tank is on tonight!

Went to pick up my contacts today and practically sold the GM the back of my 9x12 card just by telling him what I do. Said he was interested and he even named a price of what he thought it would cost (about 5x higher than what I was planning on charging, so I just said good guess!). Wants a media kit to show corporate, has done similar advertising before though.

I was the only customer in the store for over an hour, and they are at a mall. Friday afternoon is definitely the way to go!

if you were on the a mall on a friday AND you were the only customer for an hour

      that mall is dead...

you could have said twinkies and fairies are the ticket.

He is so desperate ... he will try anything ... including you.

and he will keep trying... until he is bankrupt or finds success.

and Fridays do suck .. stop pretending different.

This was my first time seeing that one. It was hilarious! The plate topper guy almost messed his self up with greed.

  • Here's the second worse part. The show turned out exactly the same as the first time.

It occurs to me that Joe is doing in person cold calling, and Ken is doing telemarketing, so this might be a case (pun intended) of apples and oranges.

Before I sold my business quite a few years ago, I was almost always in there Friday afternoons. And Kens statement (slightly modified but I think correct) is that perhaps these owners were 1) desperate, and 2) not good managers. I've learned a LOT about business after I sold .

That reminds me I need to catch up on my shark tank episodes. Re: Fridays...now that you mention it, I've come across some attentive DM's too on Fridays.

The biggest hurdle for me has just been finding the motivation to do anything after about 1p on fridays.
