It took a lot of blood, sweat and tear to get to where we are but it was all well worth it. now we are the gotoguys in our niche.

      I just wanted to return the favor since I learned a lot from this forum.

      X, nope no WSO launch planned anytime soon. But people been asking how I outsource so I've thought about putting together an outsourcing product in the near future.

      My goal is to be the next Robert Kiyosaki. I want the next generation of entrepreneurs to all know who Chris Cho is. I LOVE business and helping others to grow their business. that's mainly why I love offline marketing so much!

    Also, very eerie, before watching your video I posted some advice (included it below) in another thread..funny how many of our advice overlaps, and I'm sure other offliners can agree too, that there are many ups and downs on this journey but it's a heck of a ride.

    1. Take this seriously--you will only get out of it what you put in and starting & growing an offline business is an amazing opportunity that we are blessed to even be aware of (let alone have all these great resources & supportive colleagues on this forum).

    2. Hold yourself accountable for daily action (or get somebody else who will i.e. a coach)--prospecting for new clients is a daily thing, it has to be done day in, day out (or get somebody to do it for you)

    3. Have systems in place--make your life easy, once you have a prospecting system in place, document it so you can teach others and make sure you have a system in place to execute as well (which it sounds like you do with your partnership)

    4. Stay positive--you will have good days, booking $2k/month clients, you will have bad days when it seems like nobody wants what you have to offer--keep positive and stick it out

    5. Have FUN!! Yes, we're in business to make a profit but being an entrepreneur is also about getting the chance to make choices & decisions that you couldn't in your 9-5, so make this fun by rewarding yourself along the journey! For that $2k/mth client, how did you reward yourself? Doesn't have to be big..maybe it's taking the day to do a local wine tour, or a nice dinner out, or a new watch you've been wanting..just something to link a positive reinforcement with your success!

    6. Reinvest in yourself & your business--whether this is through books, seminars, hiring a coach, getting into a mastermind, the payoff is beyond words

      I can't tell you to send THIS and THAT to a certain niche since all niches are different. But it comes down FINDING THE RIGHT PEOPLE and FILLING THEIR NEEDS & WANTS.

      For example, I really liked how you advised us to get people onto sending out emails and using LinkedIn, that's great practical advice. But I am wondering if you could be specific in other areas also, for example :

      -We track the progress by giving them a report.


      How do you know if you are providing a good ROI?

      -We ask them to keep track of how many more leads & clients they are getting from our seo. For example, if it's a restaurant we would promote a COUPON and calculate by the coupons. (and of course not all customers come in with the coupons but we gestimate it). and for higher priced services, we ask to train their employees to always ask how they came about the business.

      How many keywords do you aim to rank clients for and for what price ranges?

      I like to go for 3 main keywords. I don't believe in selling them on 25 keywords of long tail keywords that never get searched. but this really depends on the niche. If it's "Web Design NYC" I believe in focusing on one or two of the main keyword. But if it's easier keywords like "Indian restaurant Peachtree" I'd like to focus on multiple keywords. make sense?

      As a provider of SEO, I ask myself these questions and still don't have a good enough answer. Would love to know how you deal with the situation?

      - So if I understand correctly, whenever you sell a client a package, you immediately palm it off to your project manager and you have almost no involvement after that, from a web design/seo standpoint?

      I'm involved much as I need to be. I like to practice my business skills and every now and then I get more than involved.

      - Did it take a long time to find a manager that was adept at deciding what was right for the clients needs? Any tips on hiring someone who can do this well?

      more than trying to find someone who can do take over, learn to master the skills first and then train the project manager EXACTLY what you are doing. systematize it. E-MYTH

      - Do you have your clients review your web designs with the project manager, or yourself? Is this conducted over phone, email or in person?

      every client is different. some prefer phone and some prefer a call. and if it's a NICHE that I like to be around, I personally had things off to the client to build a relationship. Usually if it's in the real estate niche, I like to personally connect with the client myself since I love to network and I can always learn something new from another fellow real estate investor.

      - What would you charge for a 5 page, basic small business website right now? What about SEO for a business in a town of roughly 200k people? Most of my potential SEO clients balk at the thought of $400 per month for SEO, and to be honest, I haven't had raving results from clients in some niches, and have had SEO people tell me the searches per month are too low for SEO to be profitable in a town this size...thoughts?

      SEO aint hot it used to be and if you're charging $400/month I don't see how you can make money bro.

      You don't go to a club and bark at the club owner that the price is charged 3-4X more than the retail price. that's what college kids do at the club.

      Point being is... maybe you're targeting the wrong niche?

      #3 rule: REAPEAT 2 & 3!

                Chris, how do you deal with unhappy clients? Say you're marketing efforts don't pay off for them or your SEO falls apart due to a penalty... how do you deal with clients that aren't happy with your services?

                  Hey Thom, good question... it's really SIMPLE.

                  If their ranking dropped and they are "unhappy" they have all the right to want to stop working with you.

                  NO BIG DEAL. move on to the next one!

                  When I first got started I asked a friend exactly the same question since he worked for one of the biggest SEO firms in America. He told me that most clients stop their seo after 3-6 months. I never really understood that when I first got started, but now I do.

                  EVEN when we rank our clients #1, they for whatever reason want to stop their services with us. It is what it is. I'm here to work with people who NEED my service and VALUE our time. No need to convince someone they need our work. I'd rather find another person in the same niche who are in need of #1 position.

    Definitely a valuable 14 minutes spent.

    Thanks for the video, Chris. I think this a really neat direction re: video format that a lot of other warriors (including myself) should start to utilize.

    It's so much nicer to listen to somebody naturally talk for 15 minutes than it is to read 15 minutes of text, haha! All of this advice is spot on.

    I love the idea of not just taking action, but taking action EVERY day. It's so important to remain consistent. That's when the magic really happens.

    You're right, success is a lot like weight loss. As somebody who's currently making a lifestyle change with my eating and exercise, I can definitely relate to the metaphor, haha. It's all about consistent, concerted efforts. Move forward in some way every day, and you'll get to where you need to be.

    A lot of times I feel like what I have to offer isnt really a big deal since I do it everyday but I guess people find value in it so everyone once in awhile I try to make a video.

      Chris, the biggest message from your video is that you took action... and kept on taking action, learning from your mistakes until you figured it out. Second thing, you were hungry for success... as shown by paying to go to seminars etc, rather than just looking for freebies.

      I've discovered in life there are people who like to talk about theory... talk, talk, talk is all they ever do. And others who just get stuck in and do it.

      I once partnered with a guy who know way more about online marketing than I did. I was excited about what he was going to bring in my business. Well, in the three months we worked together, he talked and talked and talked about what he was going to go. Wasted so much of my time listening to his great ideas, that it badly hurt my business.

      When I started my business I had a mortgage and a family to support. I had to bring money through the door from day one. That really tends to focus your mind. You have to take action, take action, and take more action.
