    • Is this just a way of admitting that you're copywriting skills suck and you don't have good enough offers to get leads legitimately?
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • i have a SL500 for sale on CL and it keeps getting flagged, I cant figure out why since it does stay up for awhile, and of course CL doesn't tell you why so you can correct it.

it's prob some ahole like you flagging my ads.

    • Exactly, I'm trying to hire an assistant, but some A-Hole keeps flagging my ads. I've checked all of the rules for posting. I guess someone is just trying to "dominate". Lol
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Ugh, I sell things from time to time, and I also get flagged for no reason. Can't stand the idiots on CL sometimes...

    • I have no problem with flagging posts that truly are miscategorized or spam, but purely flagging to remove competition is ridiculous.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • This thread explains a lot to me now. I've posted ads on Craigslist to offer services and to sell items and I've gotten flagged for absolutely no reason. I knew there had to be competitors flagging me, but I didn't know of the existence of a flagging software.

    • A thread like this needs a dislike button. Flagging for the sole purpose to eliminate competition is such a cheap shot way to do business. It's people like you that make Craigslist a pain in the ass.

      Peddle that Blackhat crap elsewhere.

  • Better find legit way to compete with them. Otherwise dont try to open your own business in the first place i guess
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • THANK GOODNESS for all of you folks who jumped on this thread to share your thoughts on how UNETHICAL and VILE tactics like this are.

I really, really am happy to see you do it. Sometimes I'm the only guy in the room to disagree with black hat methods and it sure is redeeming to see a thread go this way. I have probably used up all my Thanks for the day but it's worth it!

    • Agreed i dont see how you can have a long term business anduse high risk tactics we are all selling but do you have to be corporate brutal i would like to hope not be genuine build peoples trust and you will be rewarded and liked,

  • Try advertising on other sites like backpage, classifieds.com or wherever

Competition is going to exist regardless.. theres no use trying to eliminate your competitors. spend your time posting elsewhere
  • Vanbio, do your best to start everything with proper approach. Shortcuts may help you in short term, but it is almost guaranteed to hurt you in long term. You can target other classifieds site or you may create a site and promote that instead.
  • flagging software....but of course! explains why I'm not getting laid anymore!
  • Flagging software? Lol. Straight forward evil intent. Ammend it sir plese.
  • Your time is much better spent out outposting or matching the marketing efforts of your competitors in your niche and section. Put that same energy to positive use. Craft an ad that clearly explains the edge your business has over the competition and why your target audience should choose you.
  • Would you be surprised that most of your guys posting aren't being flagged by competitors but by cl ??

Time to stop posting spamming adds, dump cl account make new account.... "On my add is flagged must be competitor, I must retaliate." Bad idea
