How to build a nightclubs list

So I got bored ringing day businesses and decided to try nightclubs bars and while I do admit its difficult speaking to the right person, I did get lucky after 40 phones calls.

So he wanted me to help with his marketing. To be honest, I just rambled on about how I could help him and get more people and told him I could build a list for him.

Now this is different to restaurants so I have to be more proactive

Does anyone have ideas how to build a list?

I am thinking:

Facebook page
Create a guest list site
Twitter
#build #list #nightclubs

If he has his night club up and running already, you need to do some on-site marketing as well online for this client.

    - Put posters up with some QR codes and have those QR codes lead to a mobile landing page where if they enter their phone number you have a chance to win free cover for themselves and possibly two others. Something like that. That could help you build a mobile subscriber list for that nightclub. Place these posters where they wait in line.
    - Inside the nightclub on the tables, you could also put some QR codes or links to a landing page where they can enter an email address to subscribe. Perhaps, winning a free drink!
    - While on the sidewalk waiting to get in the nightclub have the bouncer or someone announce to the guests waiting that they're having a giveaway. in order to enter the giveaway all you need to give them is your first name and email. Or even first name and phone number. Then say that the winner will be emailed or texted that they've won.

    Online marketing:

    - Start some Facebook contests or social media contests where they are required to enter their email address and even like gate the entry page so that you can build an online Facebook following.
    - On the website, be sure to post somewhere about these contests and prizes.
    - A really cool one would be a social photo contest. Perhaps in the photo they could have them doing something wacky in the nightclub. Have them enter their photo and email to enter.
    - Have an online VIP list that they can sign up for. Then say that the VIPs are chosen at random.

You really want to have the customers or audience in mind when coming up with the marketing strategy like this. Put yourself in the customer's shoes.

For customers/guest that go to nightclubs all they want to do is have fun. If you give them a chance to win something for free, they're all for it. A lot of the action will happen on-site in a nightclub. So, you want to try to make the marketing as fun as possible.

Much of the audience in a nightclub pushes to try to be up with the latest hottest thing. So make your marketing the hottest thing out there.

Sending people to a mobile landing page to join an SMS list is just redundant and puts an extra step in the process that is not needed.

Have a poster but the QR code on that poster (when scanned) should open up the text message on the persons phone with the phone number and word filled out so all they need to do is press send. Also have text instructions next to the QR code so those without a QR Code app (ie: majority of people) can also easily enter.

Good stuff here. My friend is a party promoter and I was thinking of ways they could use help. I think key is to keep it mobile and smartphone friendly.

Nightclubs are a special breed. They are young, want to have fun and will respond to special. Jr is correct. ALL the nightclubs customers are on smart phones. SMS is a must, especially on bad nights(Mon-Wed, depending on your city) Is the location near a sporting arena?
I proposed to my client years ago to have a videographer coming in on special nights. YOU do it or hire someone from you local college. kids LOVE to be crazy on video. Post the vids on YT and FB.

    HI there,

Set up an event. A special party - make it invite only - have a celebrity there. The club will help you by providing the space, and the booze and you just make it so you can only attend if you sign up by FB, etc.

    Everyone loves a party!

    All the best,

    Sasha.

During the active hours of the night club scene, figure out some kind of promo you can do as the guest goes in or out. Probably going in because they'll be waiting on line wanting to do something anyways. Grab their email address for a contest, such as table service or something. Then say they can increase their chances of winning if they refer their friends via FB, etc.

    Good luck!

Leverage twitter and have the club goers use their mobile phones text to feature to follow the clubs twitter account.

Then whenever the club post's on twitter every one who used their phone to follow will get an SMS msg of the twitter post.

Example twitter post: Hey club fans! Looking for some fun tonight? Its 2 for 1 for the ladies until 10 PM!

You should create a mobile marketing campaign for them where people can text a mobile keyword to join the nightclubs vip list.

For example: Text HUSTLER to 99000 and people will automatically be enrolled

On the facebook/twitter page the owner could post photos from the venue so people will follow/like the page to see them with their friends.

Update it weekly and people will come back to like/share the pictures again and again.

If the place has live music, feed that live from the site and to the mobile devices.

Figure out a systematic way to build up each upcoming show - especially the
good ones. Put in steps so the owner can verify that the bands have
done all they can to promote to their followers. (I was a doorman and a fairly
big name local act who had not performed for a while made a comeback appearance at the club. One of the first things she did on stage was say she forgot to email her
followers. There were only thirty people in the club which should have had at least
100 people for her show. And she was guaranteed a pretty significant amount.)
