Miles here... I manage a number of SEO campaigns and all my monthly reports are due tomorrow night... So I get where you are coming from.

Personally I send all of the content/links created for the month and rankcheck reports automated by market samurai. Then i write up a page or two about analytics analysis. (Which takes way longer than I like)

I've searched for white label seo management and reporting but haven't found anything of interest, yet.

If reporting was easier, I'd probably put more efforts out and land more clients. But its almost more of a hassle for the $ compared to some of the 100% commission membership programs we are promoting.

Lol, since I don't have to write reports for our projects they get more of my focus, right now.

sounds like you need some systems, automation and possibly account manager.

We use Bright Local for our automated reports.
My project manager uses the same management tools available in our membership program, such as this one here.

Yes I use Bright Local too and that automates the reporting piece. There is still other stuff to report on that takes more time.

Maybe you can take a look at Agency Platform or WebCEO Online. The prices are higher
but there are a lot more features than Bright Local.

Do you have experience with either of these?

WebCEO seems interesting and I like the possibility of a 1 time fee for the desktop version. May be duplicating a lot of what I'm already doing and I'm not a huge fan of re-learning new ways to do the same thing.

Agency Platform's reports look nice, but I think I'd have to sign each client up with them to access the reports. All the rest of the monthly SEO work for each client is done for me, 100% hands off. Just the reporting is the challenge for me. Showing the results to the clients month over month and year over year.

Pulled off all my monthly reports in about 8 hours, yesterday... Lots of Analytics analysis and trying to write out what the stats all mean. By some measurements, it is my best paid 8 hours each month, but I'm still open to automating parts/most of it if I can.

        Hello Miles

I used to have both, but now I'm using only WebCEO Online.

Here you can see a comparison chart and find out what best fits to you.

SEO Software Review: Web CEO Online vs Raven SEO Tools vs SEO Profiler vs SEOMoz

I see you spend a lot of time on reports. Thats ok, but I would not try to explain all the stats. I don't even share all the stats with my clients. Only if they ask off course.

I prefer to focus on what really matter for than: Sales, Calls etc...

@MelanieandMiles, I agree, the reporting is where I earn my money and is the only place where I add real value (aparting from the rankings and visits)

I can't see how this can be automated or outsourced as it requires real analytical analysis.
I get my VA to pull all the stats, compile then and present it in the word doc. I also get her to do some basic observation of stats and that's where I take over. Will look at the accounts for about an hour each to give recommendations and actions going forward.

To grow, I need someone doing that for me but they do need to be experience and trained and that usually comes at a price. My dilema is, do I provide excellent service if I work in the business and grow very slow or

Do I just produce the rankings, get the visits up and produce a pure rankings report only. If client drop outs I can always get more in quickly. I'd grow the business faster if I cared less and did the bare minimum... hmmm

I guess its more like a 1 on 1 consulting session based on statistical data than it is reporting. I update them on what is going on and really try to educate them about what that means in their business, where the next opportunities are and how we can take advantage of them... Or what roadblocks we found that need removing, etc.

That info comes from synthesizing experiences and ideas we've executed for our projects and other clients. I feel that as I educate them, that often leads to more services and more revenue. The quality vs. quantity paradox, right Michael?

I do feel like I could standardize the reporting better and eliminate lots of clicking around in Analytics... Probably trimming down a few hours each month... Or pay the proper amount of $ for an Analytics VA with impeccable English.

Tony, that link with the comparisons is great!
