There was a guy on this forum a little while back who had a thread detailing how he was contacting people via linked in and securing web design work.

Do linkedin not have certian limits and restriction on contacting a large number of people though?

When you belong to a group, you can send a message to your fellow group members without being connected.

I have 2 angles that I want to work from:

      1) Contacting folks to partner with me (they would find the work and then outsource me) and,
      2) Contacting folks to offering website design directly. This one is slightly more challenging as most are employed and it can be hard finding a business owner who makes the decision. But I guess it would be worth the try.

Anyone what to partner with me? PM me.

I have over 500 connections and do contribute to a group but have never gotten work from it. I haven't taken full advantage of it really, there are a ton of members but I am not sure they go there looking for help.

    Hi,

I do have Linked Accounts, two but I am not really able to get lead from the same. I have been struggling a hard. I have account to offer SEO services and other Website Maintenance services.

Even I have gone through many courses and guides and I tried to follow exactly but I really could not get the response what is promised or stated in the guide. I tried to send out about 30 to 40 message to group members [owners] but did not get even a single response. I am not sure if I should keep sending messages or not?

Just want to make use of LinkedIn but was not to use it fully. Look for a good professional guide to learn more about LinkedIn

I tried it a few times with varying degrees of success. Managed to pick up a few new clients but I've not really focused on linkedin as a revenue stream yet, but I will be looking into it more in the next few months.

I record personal videos for group members showing them why their website is terrible for mobile, then I offer a solution and ask them to call me or reply if they're interested.

This works really well and prospects who come back to you think you're a marketing God

Totally agree with PositiveVibe, videos are POWERFUL! Not only that, I find clients remember you much longer and better when they've heard your voice/consulting via a video.

I've had potential LI members that I've connected with after months and they still remember me because of the video I made for them, highly recommend everybody to incorporate this into their LI prospecting--it simply works (and it's super fun and easy to do!).

And just to answer your original thread question--yes, still selling web design deals via my beloved LI

What is one of the best ways to manage the conversations within LinkedIn? Has anyone done something differently?

          Preeti -

What do you use to make the videos? I've started making connections on LinkedIn within my industry and I love the video idea, I'm just not sure where to start to make those.

If you could point me in the right direction that would be great.

          Thanks!

linkedin is pretty awesome. i sell article service through this. i send about 45 messages a day and 10% will message me back either being interested or will keep me in mind for the future. i even added a PS to my email template asking them to forward the email to at least 2 ppl. i keep tweaking as 10% is great but 20% would be fancier. subject line for now is just "info" lots of testing to do.
