Walk in Sales Material

I have someone who wants to sell my web design services via the walk in method and I am curious what everyone has put together for these sorts of sales members.

They are asking for a hard copy sales package and I am wondering if anyone out there has an example of something they have put together for this sort of purpose.

Thanks
Adrian

Bumping because I am interested in seeing what people have to say as well. Perhaps even some samples they can share.

The company I use to work for had sales material we used. We used it primarily for two purposes:

    1. It was the 'last chance' goal of our cold callers. If the caller refuted every attempt at a real meeting/conversation they asked "Would it be ok if we sent you some information to keep on file - in case your situation changes?" This lets the caller feel better about getting SOME kind of success and it takes the edge off the follow up call in 3 months (a few months ago we sent you some info, has your situation changed?)

    2. To give to prospects when we did cold walk ins

To be honest though, I think a business card would work just as well - if not better. They never look at the information. Some of them keep it and have it piled up on their desk - but must just chuck it.

But it is a good tool for the salesperson. Makes rejections a little less awkward.

I've made up a letter to management describing my service, created a faqs sheet answering common questions, and stapled them together.

Printing forms and making cheap copies then distributing in mass volume is the best way for me to land those big clients. Maybe it will help you.

    Hi there,

Another good angle to make sure your sales material doesn't get chucked is to organize a competition around the content of the sales material.

Have them take part in a free survey where the answers are in the material you gave them and the weekly prize for completing the questionnaire is an iPad or something worth winning.

Then, the questions they get wrong (and they will get some wrong) gives you a reason to go back to educate them.

    All the best,

    Sasha.

    1. I wouldn't personally use flyers.
    2. if you do need sales material keep it in a binder. Or on a laptop. it is merely to help you show them visually what you do.

A lot of what you need will depend on how you sell. Everything you bring with you should help you sell. If it doesn't you don't need it.
