Local SEO for a service with no brick and mortar address

If you were to do local seo for a company that does not have a office how would you place the citations?

I know on google maps that you can hide your address. So if the address is hidden on google maps should you still use some type of address in the citation or should you just use the town name? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Use their home address. Most of the contractors I work with don't have "store front" and just work out of their home. Never had anyone say they don't want to use their home address.

You can use the address of the registered agent that's on file with the state.

    Thank you,

That is what I assumed would be the best idea. I just wasn't sure if it was possible to use the Name/City/Phone number instead.
