Guys, I wanted to share an excellent article I came accross while researching the topic of how to use existing marketing methods in non-related niches to your own and take what's working for them and adapt to your own.

This article provides some great tips from a karate school owner who uses some excellent methods to bring in new prospects and clients.

  On the topic of radio spots and press releases it's usually
  not too hard to get on radio free if you offer a really sexy
  story and design your press release the right way (so they
  HAVE to call you to get the whole story).
  
  In talkback radio announcers are required to fill a certain
  percentage of each hour with content (not music) and
  this can be hard for them to do.
  
  So someone who approaches them with a good story and
  delivers on the air then has ANOTHER good story...that's
  someone who can get on a show over and over.
  
  For over 2 years I appeared regularly on a radio show that
  fed to over 40 commercial radio stations across Australia.
  
  That gives you an idea of what's possible.
