For those of you doing doing mid priced websites and seo for local busineses how much would you pay an independant contractor who brought you qualified leads that you closed. By mid priced I don't mean low end $500 websites or low priced SEO.

By qualified lead I mean expressed an interest in a new website or SEO and was in a market that was able to pay your prices and they purchased.

There are companies selling leads for as low as $8, and they are decent leads, minus the fact that they are shared with other companies besides yours.

IF it was exclusive, I think $30-50 would be fair, assuming they showed an interest.

If they showed a big interest, probably more.

I edited my question a little, what if you only paid if the lead purchased a website or services?

I'd pay any where between $150 and $500 if they actually bought a website/services

All of these responses are making me want to raise our prices... Been selling these leads exclusively and in bulk for $11 each, for several months now.

Keep in mind this is for leads that actually buy, not just leads

If you have leads that you only pay when they buy, you need to market that service on the forum. I'd pay up to $500 or more for these are well, as should any business owner on this site.

Hell, we can all start a bidding war. "He who can sell them for the most money bids the most". In truth, if these are "all" (or even most) resulting in sales, you're a little goofy offering them up at $11. In reality, they're not all closing. It just isn't possible, unless you're weeding through and closing (or mostly closing) them yourself. In which case, they're not really "leads". They're closed deals, and you should be finding guys to make websites for you - not guys to buy leads.

Don't take this the wrong way, but, what's the real deal? Am I missing something obvious?

For websites, I'm paying 20% of the price of the website. This is for leads who turn into clients. So for a $2000 website, I'm paying $400 commission (after the contract with the client is signed and sealed).
