Not an easy one, I'll tell you that much!

It takes A LOT of time and effort to build up a business to making $1,000/week. Don't plan on finding a quick "get rich quick" scheme here. Frankly, none exist.

Life is way too short to get rich slow.

    HI there,

If you can get a job for $12/hour and work 12 hour days, you'll be able to achieve that. Any fast food restaurant can help you out there.

That'll achieve what you want. Oh, but you'll have to work for it, sorry.

    All the best,

    Sasha.

I'm a "Face-To-Face" guy from waay back. I make up a "Dummy" sample of whatever program I'm going to sell Ads on....put in 2 or 3 Sample Ads and go out and Sell the spaces to local businesses....usually for $290ea and...rarely do I NOT get 10 or more Ads a week!

      Examples;
      Ad Flyers on Pizza Boxes
TV Channel Guides in Hotel Rooms
      Daily Special Boards in Restaurants
      Placemats on Restaurant Tables
      Plastic Displays on Restaurant Tables
      MAP Boards in Hotel Lobbies
Kids Eat Free Cards for Hotel Guests
      Welcome Magnets for Newcomers
      Take-Out Menu Magnets
      and many that I've forgotten

Most cost less than $10 to start and ALL brought in a Minimum of $1,000 per week!

        Amazing...
plus , your signature link is dead.

As for the OP , Get a domain , Hosting (both can be free.. but suggesed to buy to look professional) , and wordpress.
choose stuff from fiverr - youtube views, likes to facebook , twittter followers.. some unique caricature .. and resell it on your website.
get at least $50-$90 per sale , get 10 clients per week (suuper easy if done right..keep on reading the forum and wso tricks..) and get $3,600 /month easily.
(if you get 10 clients per week that pays 90 /sale.)..

took time and effort to buy learn active and earn.
but i didn't saw any pizzeriya , any restaurant that start with 'low cost ' (less then $10...you can't say that. you need to act like it's a real business.
        put time,effort,and money.)
after your make a couple of sales, pay people to get you clients , and make evn more money doing nothibg but completing orders.

        Hope I helped.
sSorry for the lame english.. it's 2:00 AM , and it's after i played 3 hours of soccer..

        Goodluck !

Sell anything! I say stick to business to business. You can either cold call and try selling over the phone or you can go door to door to businesses to sell services.

    Some services you can sell:
    Website design
    Mobile website design

You can also go straight to consumers. Do you have good attention to detail? Then start a cleaning business! All you need are some starting cleaning supplies and a strong work ethic. Go door to door during Saturday and Sunday and say,

"Hi, my name is ________. I own a local cleaning company here in town. Have you ever considered providing more time for yourself and/or your family and having someone else clean your home?"

Offer 1 hour of cleaning free and do a great job. In one weekend you can have 3 or 4 clients. Do a good job and keep knocking on doors and you will be building a good business quick. In fact, I worked for a guy who did this exact thing and got his cleaning business to 14,000 gross/month in just 6 months. There are two keys here: keep knocking on doors, ask for referrals and - most important - do a GREAT job. Most cleaners are very mediocre. They are a dime a dozen. A good cleaner is golden and people WILL refer you.

If you don't like scrubbing toilets on your hands and knees, then try another business. It isn't glamorous - but it isn't hard either. A dog waste removal company. Charge $10 per week for one visit a week at a house with one dog. Charge $15 per week if they have two dogs and then $18 per week if they have three.

Offer services where you come by more than once a week too - maybe one dog, 2x a week at $15, etc.

Go door to door and knock. "Do you have a dog?" "Do you like cleaning up its little turd nuggets?" etc. Make them sign a one year contract.

All you need is a industrial strength dust pan with a long handle (so you dont have to bend down) and then a long stick with a broad flat surface and some nice work boots. Walk around the yard and use the long handle to scoot the poop into the dust pan. You never have to get too close to the poop. Empty the pan into a bag and go to the next house. You can do a medium size yard in 5 minutes. Take 5 minutes to get to the next house and you are making $60/hr.

I know a guy who actually did this and he has over 100 clients - in a small town in Wyoming too! That is over $1000 a week - just like you wanted.

NOTE: check your local laws. You might need a business license to do these. You may also need insurance. Even if insurance isn't required, I suggest it. You can get a policy for a small business for $500 a year - and they usually will let you pay it monthly. Just a suggestion to CYA.

Sell the services you learn about on the WF:

    Web Design
    SEO
    PPC
    Social Media

One business can make you that per week if you actually take the time to build your business for the long-term, and not just to make a quick buck.

I start giving email services to small business

I talk to offline business owners in my area and i don't really do hard selling i just talk to them in friendly tune i ask bunch of questions and before i leave they are ready to give me the business.

most of the offline business owners donot even know any thing about auto-responder effectiveness..and the use of auto responder.

after asking series of question i give them the presentation layout which can be useful for their business.

simply create their aweber account via my affiliate link off course and then i tell them to direct your customers to that web page so they can sign up with promotions and discounts ...

this is very simple but very effective business model for their business and it works very well.

and i design series of emails for their customers via their aweber account and after designing just 5 to 7 follow up emails i am usually hands free for rest of the month and get paid on monthly basis

    i hope that helps
    thanks

How much do you charge local businesses for this?

Do you write the autoresponder messages yourself?

I used my lawnmower and some cardboard signs around town to get myself out of a jam a while back. In Australia I was charging $300 a day for garden work. If you want to do it legit though you need to get insurance etc, but as a side thing it can be pretty good, need trailer and a few minor tools. It's not for everyone but it worked for me!

Sell 50, "FREE Oil Change Cards" door-to-door for $20ea....10 a day!

      Heck....I used to sell 50 of these A DAY! $1,000 A DAY!

      Here's what I did;
      1) Make up a Dummy Sample Card showing "3 FREE Oil Changes from 2 Auto Repair Shops, 1 on one side of town and 1 on other side."....total Value of $180 (6 x $30 per oil change)

      2) Get 2 Auto Repair Shops to agree to provide 3 Free Oil Changes...1 every 3 mos for 2yrs. Now, WHY would Auto Repair Shops want to provide FREE Oil Changes?
Because they can FIND other things on the vehicles that need repair or fixing....plus, they will build up a "Customer List".

      3) Print up 1,000 Biz Cards (Vista Print) and go door-to-door or even Office-To-Office offering SIX (6) Free Oil Changes for $20.

      1) Everyone NEEDS oil changes for their vehicles!
      2) Everyone has 20 bux

Low cost business that can make $1,000 a week = web design.

You can pick up the phone and with a half decent script cold call 100s of businesses a day until you land clients who are willing to either have a site built or a current site redesigned. If you can't design websites, just outsource the work to someone. There's no reason why you can't achieve you $1,000 a week plus much more with just 1 client!

Step 1: Get a list of small businesses. Localizer lead tool, hoovers subscription, jigsaw, infousa, whatever.
Step 2: Get an auto dialer. Callfire is great. I use MobilCTI Power Dialer app for Android.
Step 3: Make 200 calls a day pitching, say, your $200 service.
Step 4: In the evening, perform services for any sales closed.
Step 5: Rinse & repeat, adding additional step to follow up with any interested leads from a few days ago.

That's a thousand calls with five sales (one out of 200, or 0.05%) needed to reach the goal.

The fact is that it is REALLY EASY to sell advertising to local small biz, especially anything that costs a few hundred dollars or so.
They are desperate for business and as long as the idea is presented well and they have the money they will go for these small amounts ALL DAY long.

The hard part is actually providing them a service that gives them consistent return on their investment. Thats why you see the hustlers on here posting so many of these "great ideas".

Here is the deal. They have to keep going from hustle to hustle because none of stuff they promote is bringing long term success to their clients and therefore they can not get long term commitments and can not build a long term business with these hustles... thats why they have to go from one to the other.

You have to ask yourself when you go out into the marketplace do you want to just make money today or do you want to make it long term.

If you just want to make the money today then sell the hustle, a couple guys in this thread can tell you all about nickel and diming ideas. Once you finish one hustle you go the next.

If you want to make money in the long run then find ways to bring prosperity to your clients...build something that has value and gives value and you will not have to worry about where your next paycheck is coming from.

Whatever, business you plan on doing, make sure to have a reputation...some testimonials. No, business will shell out serious money, to those that are new. Do a favor for your circle of influence (doctor, lawyer, whoever you see all the time) and get them testimonials and you have a way better chance of getting paid, 1000s a week...compared to 100s a week.

Businesses, need to trust you and make sure you are legit and actually can help them...

I will also tell you this, do not waste your time with businesses that are tight on their budgets. Seek businesses that have money, spend money and are not tight. It is easier to reach, your goal with businesses that have and spend more money!

My motto is: Work with 10 businesses, that bank you $1000 profit per month, than working with 100 businesses that bank you $100....Higher priced services, bring in higher profits and a lot quicker!

There are numerous, types of services that you can offer. It all depends on what your interest are and what skills you have.

    Good luck!

How about $150 a Month from 28 Advertisers?

(Nothing for sale here! Just an idea of something I did. Sorry, no details....just what I presented in this thread! Once again proving that.... GREAT MONEY-MAKING IDEAS ARE ALL AROUND!)

A few yrs ago when I first noticed "Magnetic Sheets" for sale at Staples. I bought a pack and went home and cranked up MSPublisher along with "Calendar Creator" and made up a sample of what I called....

      "THE WELCOME MAGNET"

I thought that Newcomers to my area would LOVE to have a "Reference Guide" of local Phone Numbers AND....I thought they'd like a Year Calendar starting with the month they received it.

AND....I thought they'd like to stick this "Magnetic Reference Guide" ON THEIR FRIDGE...where it can easily be found. And I was right.

And....I thought that local businesses would be wiling to PAY ME to have an Ad on my Magnets....and again, I was right.

I then did a LOT of hunting for someone that could print these for me...300 at a time..and I did!

I then found a List Co that could provide me with 100 Newcomers each month, and I did....after MUCH "Trial and Error".

So....I made up a Demo Sample and went "Door-to-Door" offering EXCLUSIVE spaces in Alphabetical Order.

      I charged $140 set up and $150 a month for 3 mos in advance ($450) ($140 + $450 = $590) (I charged 1/2 on deposit and balance on Proof. $295 down and $295 on proof)

Because MOST businesses, professionals and medicos knew that if they could get Newcomers as customers, clients or patients....the chances were pretty good they'd STAY....and, they did!

So....from a "simple idea" I was able to earn a "nice income".

Again....I am NOT "selling anything HERE" or on my website!

      Thanks for reading.

      Don Alm

While I'm on "Magnets".....here's a smaller Magnet I used for "Restaurant TakeOuts".

These are 8" by 6". FREE to restaurants with "Menu" info in restaurant space and Ads around side.

Restaurant owner would LIKE to have his regular customers AND his service providers on these....therefore, he will GLADLY provide you with a List of at least 20 possible advertisers.... who are VERY EASY to sell an ad to.

I did 500 mags at a time and usually charged $495 per advertiser....a Buck to be on a magnet that will be ON THE FRIDGE for quite a while.

          And...while I'm on a Topic I've enjoyed here's another 2 ideas that cost zilch, other than Shoe-Leather;

          PARKING LOT CLEANUP

Armed with just a LARGE Collection Bag (you can make yourself) and a broom, I've shown people how to earn $200 to $300 A NIGHT....$1,000 to $2,000 A WEEK!

The "Target Market" here are parking lots of apartments, restaurants, shops, medical & dental offices....etc. Any lots that are not being serviced by "Sweepers".

We just went to each location and asked the Manager if we could keep his lot clean of trash & debris.

Our minimum charge was $20 per night. Some locations we charged $40/night.....

          Don Alm.....

          And...."CURB NUMBER PAINTING"

Fire Engines and Police and Emergency Vehicles need to get to addresses FAST!

Address numbers painted on the curb in front of homes help these homes be found when every second counts.

We got some special paint (including a special Sealer to make the paint last).... made Number Templates....a few brushes....printed up some Flyers (giving Benefits and if they wanted us to print their Address on the curb in front for $20 (everyone has 20 bux).....to tape the reverse side of the flyer to a window.

Flyers were usually printed on "Solar Yellow" light card stock (we got this color from asking the owner of a McDonald's, why the Arches were Yellow)

We went out the next day....painted curbs and left an Envelope at each home to be Taped to thefront door handle. Went back the next day and picked up envelopes.

A 3-day process that earned at least 1,000 a week.

In fact....a few yrs ago, 2 guys had a Video on YouTube that showed how they were painting curbs in "GO-CARTS"! Pretty funny BUT....they were making some Serious Cashola.

          Don Alm.....

Address America is a good alternative to painting numbers on the curb.

              Offer packages.

              1. Curb Paint
              2. Decals
              3. Metal Numbers

              etc etc

You might be able to sell someone on everything from decals on the mail box to large number on their home

just buy the numbers in bulk and have them in your van/suv along with a few tools.

Aaron, years ago I was fundraising for a BIG Cat sanctuary D2D. I was shocked on how many houses didn't have their address on it or it was impossible to find, hidden behind a tree.
I think this could be a great business, especially if you aren't in snow country. CASH daily. I would improve it with glo paint and printed envelopes instead of flyers.

I've suggested this to my girlfriend's 15 year old daughter as a great summer business but she isn't interested. I'm tempted to buy the materials and just hire someone to do it. If I can make a small profit off it without doing the work directly I'm game.

Have someone drop off the printed envelopes in a residential (dense) area, YOU pick them up with $20 bill inside. Then the following day have the addresses made. I like the idea of glo ink, for the evening, that can be curbside or on a house.

Just a heads up on the curb painting idea. You may need to get a license to do this (yeah, even for curb painting), and in some area people have been scammed through people claiming to do this and then running off with the money. Those areas may not be really receptive, and you could bear the brunt of someone else's scam. I've read that in some areas I guess the city has someone that paints them, and to do it as a business may get you in opposition to them. In my opinion there are just too many other ways to make money to try that one, but I know it can work. If I were going to do it, I think I'd try to find some sort of signs or something that could be easily placed in yards. I've seen some before somewhere online, maybe someone mentioned them above.

Yup....there sure are ALL kinds of things you can run into when starting up a money-making program that is new....to You!

You may run into "this", or you could run into "that"! With almost ALL the programs and projects I've started ....ALL had some kind of, what I refer to as, "A FLY in the Ointment!", when I began.....however....I got out my trusty ol' "Fly-Swatter" and went out and did it!

And sure....most of the Ad programs I've created and sold are "Quick-Hitters" with NO intention of building a business on any ONE of them. HOWEVER, for example, when I tell an advertiser I'm going to print up X amount of Pizza Flyers...I PRINT THEM!

And.....sure, many of my programs have been "Quick-Hitters" and....there are thousands, if not a few millyun "O.O.C." (Out-Of Cash) Americans who'd LOVE to be able to go out in their own neighborhood and collect 4 or 5 or checks from local business owners....for one of my "Quick-Hitters"

NOTE: Re: LongTime Business Building.....you ever heard of "WELCOME WAGON"? Does YOUR town have a "Welcome" service? My "Welcome-Magnet" program I got up and running the first year Wal-Mart & Staples began selling "Magnetic Sheets". I ran with my progam for a few yrs AND.... helped MANY small businesses get business from MY Magnetic Sheets that were placed on the refrigerators of Newcomers.

My goodness people! You can "Nit-Pick" ANY idea, if that's YOUR nature!

And....there is another choice when you need "Long-Term" money....

GO APPLY FOR A J.O.B. WID DA GUMMIT! Especially in OreGUN. When you retire....you'll get a check every month EQUAL to or MORE THAN, what you were paid when you were "working". .....paid for by all us "Dumb-Clucks" who went out and created OUR OWN INCOME!

This is also another great idea! It would probably work best if you use glow in the dark outdoor paint.

People who have their houses for sale would be good prospects for this (especially now that it is winter and it gets dark sooner).

Many years ago, I saw an ad for glow in the dark numbers that people can put on their doors.

Also.....at the start of every NovemberI know people who I've helped bring in some CASH and helped make their Christmas "merrier" with...."HOLIDAY BONUS CARDS!

I know because I sold them the Plans.

These are business card sized with 9 to 12 Special Discounts on the back, offering the holder special discounts (Mostly 2 for 1's from fast food places, which are free to them)

We sell these to business owners and HR mgrs. for $10each (There's 5 BIG plant operations AND a Hospital that buy a min of 100 of these every year to GIVE to their employees)

Another great prospects for these reflective night vision address signs are Real Estate Agents. The Real Estate Agents, in turn, can give this as a gift to Home Sellers who list with them.

Homeowners in over 55 communities, Home Owner's Association of over 55 communities and Builders (especially of over 55 communities) would also be great prospects for the reflective night vision address signs.

Years ago when I was selling real estate, when times were slow, I would send out 100 postcards to non-resident condo owners, meaning they are landlords. I would offer to clean, paint and spray for bugs. (I didn't know spraying for bugs without a license was illegal!) Other times, I would contact investors and out-of-town owners of single family homes and offer to maintain the yard. Because I focused on a particular type property owner, I got a pretty good response. I got so busy one summer that I had to recruit my teenage daughter to help me in my "lawn business."

I actually got a few listings from the relationship that developed with some of the propert owners. They didn't know I was personally cleaning, painting, murdering bugs and cutting grass. It was all ancillary services of my real estate business!

This was hard work, and HOT in Florida! It isn't something I would want to repeat, but it paid the bills and kept me out of a financial hole.

    Good luck to you.

How To Make $4,800 With Auto Discount Cards

This is a great money making idea i have done a few times over the past few years and it works really well, as it's a win, win for all parties involved and everyone makes money.

    WHAT IS IT ?

A double sided discount card 4x5 in size that offers free and discounted automobile services, such as a free oil change, a free battery charge, 50% off an inspection and so on.

    HOW IT WORKS ?

Contact in person a local neighborhood auto repair service station and offer the owner to help them increase their business at no cost to them. Get the service station owner to agree to honor 20 specific free or discounted services. You only need one auto repair service station to agree to work with you and your in business.

    WHY IT WORKS ?

In order for the consumers to take advantage of all the free or discounted services, they have to visit the service station many times and this gives the service the ability to build a relationship with the consumers and keep a good percentage of them as life long customers even after they have used up all of the free or discounted services on their auto discount card.

    HOW TO MAKE THEM ?

Using a computer with a basic desktop publishing program such as Print Shop, just copy the design of the example auto discount card shown above or create your own design and then using color card stock print the auto discount cards 4 to a page, then cut them out using a paper cutter. If you don't want to design and print out your own auto discount cards just make a mock-up design of how you want your discount to look or use the example shown above and take it to a local printer and have them design it, print it and cut them out for you.

    HOW TO SELL THEM ?

There are a number of ways to sell the auto discount cards. Here are 2 suggested ways to sell them.

    OPTION 1:

Sell them door to door yourself or hire sales people on a commission basis. Here is an example script to use:

How are you today? I'm (your name) from (service station name your working with) Do you or a member of your family own a vehicle? (this question will almost guarantee the desired yes answer) Great! (hand them the auto discount card to look at) As you can see there is a free (pick any free service and explain it) all together there are 20 free or discounted vehicle services a total of ( figure out the total amount of savings the auto discount card your selling has and tell the customer this amount) , but today If your interested I can sell it to you for just $10. Would you like to buy one now?

    OPTION 2:

Work with a nonprofit organization, church, youth group, etc. that needs to raise funds. Offer to let them sell the auto discount cards at say $10 to consumers and for each auto discount card they sell they get to keep $5. You will need to up a contract outlining all of the details of your agreement. This protects both you and the group your working with should any misunderstanding occur.

    PROFIT POTENTIAL:

500 auto discount cards sold at $10 each by yourself grosses $5,000 less estimated expenses of $200 for printing and gas, etc. leaves a net profit of $4,800.

500 auto discount cards sold sold at $10 by a sales person or group grosses $5,000 less 50% or $2,500 is paid to the sales person or group, plus minus $200 for printing leaves a net profit of $2,300 for you.

    Good Luck!

    Martin

I love all of the great ideas and how generous people are sharing them!

I know you want to make 1000 / wk: Here is how I made a steady 600 working part time...

I used to clean apartments at a complex after people moved out. That sucked, but I'd get about 30 an hour in my pocket (we charged 65-75 per apartment) once I had the routine figured out and my time minimized. But that means license, permits etc, so from experience.....

Clean houses, and charge 75 bucks. Do a good job, do 15 houses a week. Cash in your pocket. Once you learn how to clean efficiently, you'll find there isn't much scrubbing involved in cleaning a house you just cleaned the week before!

      Other ways:
Do honey do's, clean yards, buy a telescoping squeegee and wash home windows for businesses or homes, repair window screens, restore headlights for people, wax and buff cars, clean pools.... Wait tables in a casual fast food restaurant that is always busy - you'll easily make 12 bucks an hour or more in tips (even 4-5 tables an hour in a fast-casual business lunch spot would give you that)

I can't do a lot of physical work in the summer, so I spend the going rate for these services I mentioned and I can tell you - it is cold hard cash and not the hardest work around, and I get mad that I can't do it myself sometimes!

mold testing lead gen, I bought a mold testing kit ($8 retail at Lowes? but cheapass to make or buy wholesale) for my GF after smelling mold in her townhome. Do some advertising (keywords like "mold my town") and give these things out for free. after 2-3 days when mold starts growing in the test dish the homeowner will be calling for immediate help. Once you find mold in an apartment or townhome complex, you could target the rest of them sending them a free kit and that their neighbor just discovered mold. Very valuable hot lead to sell$$$$

especially in hot humid flood prone areas that use A/C often

There is a genius here guys, and not just a genius, seems like a hard worker too, Midasman09, simple but inspiring, I like your stuff. I have SOME question for you though lol:

When you do Sell Ad Space On Magnet Directory, what is usually the size you use for the whole thing, and what kind of size for Ad Space (or it varies). And most importantly how many businesses do you try to put in this magnet? Also how can you charge these people monthly? Do you have a different edition every month? If I am a home owner I really don't want a magnet directory every month, maybe every season is good. And most most importantly how do you distribute? Door to door, mass mail, or I was thinking hiring homeless people to simply distribute these at gas stations and streets all over, give them a job, help em out too, this charitable way of doing it might help businesses buy ad space too, to be a part of noble cause. But thing is I want to distribute these to 45000 homes, what would be the most effective way and what kind of costs am i looking at.

But why would I give you $150 per month for only 1000 houses, when I can advertise in a local print magazine for the same amount with a bigger ad space and which will be distributed to 22,500 houses (I'm talking about my local ad mag)?

Wouldn't be on a monthly bases but any how we will go with that as an objection... Well mr customer I completely understand about how the magazine will get to more customers but let me ask you this how many times is the customer going to look at your magazine ad once? Maybe twice? Than throw it in the trash.... How often are they going to go to the fridge once maybe twice a day ? I much have my magnet on a fridge for a much longer duration with 1000 customers rather than thrown in the trash after one look in a magazine ad....

Will it work everytime no ... Will it work most of the time? Yes

Whenever I go in a business completely cold this is my thinking ... And I'm sure other members thinking.... It's much easier to ask 10 business"s to give me 200 dollars worth of advertising rather than to ask for a 500 sale .. I live in a small town and when a business has a small budget for advertising it's much more harder to get a 500 sale... The thing you have to take Into consideration you make a 500 sale, the owner does see much value in that expensive advertising...and will never buy from you again... but if he gets a couple more customers from these magnets. HECK it's only 200 bucks much more repeat business with a less expensive product

I also live in a small city, but it has 65k population. See my thing is I completely agree with you and I always keep what you said inconsideration when pricing my services, and I always ask myself what would you want and at what price.

But my thing with magnets is that I don't think sending it to only 1000 households is a good value for 200 bucks, but 450 for 10k households, hell yea I'm in, because its just a lot more value, at the same time some businesses are smart and want to trust you only after your hope filled analogy has worked. Plus with 450 I can afford a 10k households, because I'm thinking 20 advertisers on the magnet, but then again you are so right and I should probably go with lower budget and low costs and less distribution to create trust and see how being a tiny print ad agency feel....

Services like these are often performed at the service interval requested by the customer, much like any type of cleaning. My brother worked for a parking lot company. It is some tough, nasty work, at times. Some lots were small, some were big with the big box stores in them, etc. There was a ton of money to be made, but it involved cleaning up vomit, trash that had sat outside all day, sexual items left by dumpsters (dumpsters are known to be quite the turn on, lol), and just crazy people out at night sometimes. He had to sweep up the lots, sometimes spray some of them down with a hose. I would imagine that a pressure washer could help in some instances, though they didn't do that. It was a tough gig, and he moved on because he hated it. Some of the smaller places weren't done as often but weren't as bad either. The larger lots seemed to need it more due to higher traffic.

I know I'm reviving an old topic but the guy who was talking about the magnets really sparked an interest to me.

Now when you say "directory" are you basically saying a map of your city, or just a straight up magnet with ads on it?

I was thinking a somewhat large (but not too large) magnet with an overview of the city, it's main roads, and stars etc placed over popular destinations or important locations (police stations, parks, libraries etc..) as well as a star with the location of the advertised business.

This I feel makes the magnet more useful. People could use it to get a general idea of a location/city (could come to it for reference from time to time, making them look at it more, and valuing your brand).

Anyway, how do you distribute the magnets? Do you have some sort of "list" where you mail them? Or do you drive around town sticking them to peoples doors? To me, driving around town for hours handing out magnets is not my kind of business... I guess I could hire some kid on craigslist to do it for me, but that cuts my profits, and I am also putting my business in the hands of somebody else. I don't want to hand out 1000 magnets and pay a kid $60 bucks plus gas money to hand them out just to find out he pocketed the cash and only handed like 200 magnets.

The business plan must state clearly how you will source for capital and how the capital will be paid back. It must also state the marketing strategy you will use and how you intend to expand your business.

If you want to spend low cost business but get 1000/week you should work very hard. There are many works to do so :
    - Waiter/waitress in any fast food restaurants or high class restaurants from 10$ and 8 hours/day
    - You can sell ebooks or some helpful services online such as : SEO, marketing, advertising...
Whatever you do, you have to do very hard to get you "1000$/week" goal.
    Good luck mate

I feel a Cleaning Business would be best as this is something that can easily be started with low costs and can have great earning potential.

I would start with Window and Carpet Cleaning, as you are hitting broad niches that everyone has in their homes.

Due to the competition, I would just offer my service for FREE to about 50-100 guys then I would give them a GREAT service and leave a discount coupon for them and 2 friends.

If you have done a good enough job you can get bookings for a solid week.

The trick is taking a lose then giving them a discount to a great service you have already showcased, once they use that discount code you can then give them your higher price, as you have gained their trust.

Plus once you have that customer you will be their go to person for all domestic cleaning issues, so you can expand your services or do referrals, so $1000 per week should become easy.

    Hope this helps.

Bet you haven't heard of this one:

Here is a link to the opportunity and I have NO affiliation at all:

Become a Distributor - Lottery, Dream Books, Winning Numbers, Psychic Reading, Luck, Lucky Strategies, Good Luck

It is an opportunity to "rack job" lottery hotsheets on consignment. They have been publishing lottery hotsheets for over 25 years. I don't distribute theirs, however, I've modeled some of my bestselling lottery hotsheets after a few of the ones they offer.

NO selling, just offer a FREE rack to momma and poppa lottery outlets and swing by once a month to collect...all sold on consignment. 20 outlets selling 50 dollars worth a week gives you your 1000 bux... how many lottery outlets do you have in your area?

Hotsheets and rack jobbing on consignment is a NO cost start-up and you are only limited by your imagination. Lottery players are like squirrels getting ready for winter, they love to collect these low cost nuggets of entertainment products hoping to win some buckeroos. This market has grown every year for the last 25.

So, NOW you have a source of product you get for free, a method to distribute and collect and pay...it just depends how ambitious you are.

      gjabiz

PS. Even better, publish and distribute YOUR own lottery hotsheets like I do and you'll find it easy peasy to reach your goal.

AND oh...states have bet billions on the income they get from lotteries...in OLD SCHOOL marketing, there is a saying:
find the hungriest schools of fish already in a feeding frenzy and drop your hook and bait and pull out dollars as fast as you can.

GAMBLERS of all sorts from Granny playing bingo, to Vegas casinos to clubs' Football weekly hotsheets..and now lottery... there has always been a feeding frenzy, and there always will be. Much easier than looking for a niche to sell to, billions have been spent by countries and states setting the tables for you.

This really isnt a business, but I'll give this a shot. I dont make a living out of it, but I sure utilize being a lender to real estate agents-hard money loans.

in collateral of the property the agent is trying to close, if you can be quick access to the cash that they need in order to make the sale, you have every right of commanding a percentage of up to 18% where the norm is 10%+ from where I live now in California.

if they default on the mortgage, you take the property-the agreement. before engaging in the transaction, you will have to do the assessment, your chances of profit if they do mess up.

if you would like to find such hard money borrower, go to real estate meetings where agents specialize in wholesale/flips/fixups. determine the agents capability, check his track record.

sounds overwhelming maybe, but it's like any other business. you do it once, you will see the system that functions within it, learn how to research, find a great agent that will make you 10%-18%+ on your cash investment. It's really hard to find such investment in the stock market, even hard for forex to pull off.
