Can't Hide Street Address in Google Places Anymore???

Hey guys

As some of you may know, Google Places has changed a lot recently in terms of the way it's laid out and stuff when creating a business listing....

I created several listings for a client of mine in all different towns however some of them I want to be able to hide the street address from public view like I used to do with other listings. But I don't see an option to do so anymore.

Has anyone else realized that and know how to hide the street address??? It would really help me out.

    I think you are still using the old version of Google Places, because I just logged into a Google Places account that I have 2 businesses in from about a year ago and it still has the old setup with the checkbox for hiding your street address.

    However, the new "interface" which is much more Google+ like, doesn't have that checkbox. In fact, it doesn't even have a field for your website address, it just has a description box where you can hyperlink words. It's very different, and I'm surprised that I can't figure out how to hide street address. I am thinking maybe they did away with that option or something.

      I have a lot of customers and lots of accounts, I am well aware of the difference between the old layout and the new.

      It seems to me you just aren't familiar with the new.

      To hide the address, you have to click to edit your address, click "this business serves customers at their location", and there you go.

      To add the website, you click contact info, and add the website.

      Takes a while to get used to the new layout, but everything is still there, just play around with it and get familiar.

        Ok we're making progress. You are right about the website URL. I just logged in and clicked on "Contact Info" and did see a field for the Website URL, so I added that. Thanks!

        As far as hiding the street address though, I still can't figure that one out...

        I went to the "Address" box and opened it up to edit it...

        there are 2 chechboxes at the bottom. the top one says:

        "My business has service areas where I visit customers at their location - Important information" - Which I have checked off.

        The bottom one says:

        "
        I serve customers at my business address" - Which I previously had checked off, but now I just unchecked it. It didn't seem to change anything.

        Can you let me know exactly what needs to be done in order to hide the street address? And will I be able to confirm whether or not it worked? Because right now (with that box unchecked) it still is showing my street address, and next to it it just says "Pending"

        Sorry to keep bugging you about it but you'd really be helping me out if I can figure this out. Thanks bro

          It's all good, give it time and it should show the updated result. Sounds like you did everything right.

          It will keep saying pending for a bit, but you did everything right just wait until it is cleared!

              Correct. You still have your address listed in the box, but you uncheck the "i serve customers at my business address" and you check the other box saying you serve customers at their location.

              When building citations, you would still build them with the address in your account.
