"Can I do offline marketing without talking to business owners..."

Hey Offliners,

Since I have several offline marketing products that I sell, I get all sorts of questions from buyers and potential buyers.

But none of them cause me to scratch my head and wonder quite like a question asking if a local offline marketing consultant can build a successful offline marketing business without actually talking to or meeting a prospect.

Can it be done?

Yes, of course you can run a business without talking or meeting with your customers.

But for a marketing consultant, that only lasts as long as it takes to hit a problem, opportunity or situation that requires you to get on the phone or meet in person.

Which is usually day one of running your offline business.

So, the answer is yes in theory, but no in practical application. (for offline marketers specifically)

Plus, trying to avoid talking to your prospects or clients is a terrible mindset to bring into your business.

If you want to succeed at offline marketing, you want the most effective way to get clients. And in one form or another that's always done by meeting or talking to people.

If you have a medical reason, that's completely understandable. But, if you're just anti-social or weird, that's different.

I get that we all want to design a business around our lifestyle. I completely understand that you want maximum freedom and maximum profits.

That's what I want and am personally building for me and my family.

However, is it realistic to think that you can get big fat checks from business owners and never have to talk to them?

Nope.

So, do what you have to do to get your head wrapped around the fact that "talking" to clients is what it's going to take for you to have any real success.

Now, go close some deals,

Chris

If you're talking about an internet marketer having
clients without talking to business owners it certainly
    is possible.

You just need to joint venture or employ someone who
does all the selling and interaction with clients.

But you should keep in mind that the real money is usually
made when you're talking to business owners and the
stability in your business comes from building strong
    relationships with your clients.

    Kindest regards,

This is slightly different. This is a company scenario.

Not everyone in a company talks to the customers but the company does. eg via Sales and Customer Services.

So yes you can have a company where you personally don't talk to customers, but you can't have a company that doesn't talk to customers in 99% of cases especially one that wishes to Consult.

I want to be a Consultant but never provide a consultation?

That is the crux of the question.

Similar to I want to be a car mechanic but never touch a car.

It beggars belief that someone would ask such a thing.

Many people have very real medical reasons for being "anti-social or weird". Those reasons are every bit as real as the physical and externally viewable disabilities that hold people to their homes and may limit them from being out and about in the world. In fact, I'd venture to say that there may be a good number of people that are attracted to marketing because deep down they would love nothing more than to remove themselves from their prison of isolation and to become that person that can get out and wow the world with their knowledge and personality. Not everyone is blessed with that. Some have to work harder at it than others. Some may achieve it, others may not, but in the end well-intentioned yet ignorant labels only serve to push many away into a deep well of self-doubt. There are many here that have been able to push past whatever holds them back, and there are others that have not yet but are working hard at it. Those limitations are every bit as real even if not every bit as visible and what some would deem worthy of a "medical" label. The medical community isn't as narrow minded as many people in the general public are. I speak from experience, and I'm sure that there are many here that struggle internally for a variety of medical reasons to be the outgoing person that they might even wish very deeply that they were so that they could improve their lives.

      Hey UMC,

I agree and completely understand where you're coming from. I have several members of my family who suffer with various types of mental challenges.

However, please don't assume the opposite of what I said.

When I said for medical reasons, I really meant medical reasons. That includes any and every type of medical reason. Mental, physical, emotional and any other type of medical reason.

However, this message was meant for those who don't have those challenges and are trying to build a business of consulting people without talking to those people they are consulting and are wondering why they're struggling.

I hope you take my share in the spirit in which it was given.

      Thanks,

      Chris

Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. It seemed like you contrasted the physical with the mental with the medical vs antisocial as do most people. Nice to see that you were taking all things medical into consideration. Of course, few people really choose to be antisocial for fun, as social interaction is a basic need for humans, but there may be some that choose it.
