Separating local sites by IP

Hi. For those ranking local sites and renting them, do you separate your portfolio of sites in some way, like a unique IP for each site or SEO hosting or that kind of thing? Or doesn't it really matter and you just use shared hosting for all of your sites under one account with add-on domains for each new site?

Would appreciate your thoughts on that. Thanks.

    What are your trying to accomplish? Generally, unless you're trying to fool the search engines, an IP doesn't matter much.
