Research & Development: Of All Things! . . . Who Would Have Guessed?

Gary Halbert is not just about work, but about ever new and effective ideas that will work for those willing to model his successes.

For instance it would not have occurred to me to create my own low tech R & D business within my current business. Gary did.

His idea is simple and well worn, but mostly by the big companies. Like the Guru says, “How much time and money will it cost you to start your own R&D department?” The answer is very little because it is mostly a matter of research.

He goes on to say, “Think about it. Just ONE idea per year from this kind of low-tech R&D could have a truly profound impact on your bottom-line.” He’s right. Just devoting one day a month (all day) to reading ads of your competitors looking for new ideas, new angles for your own business can really make a difference in a year’s time.

And, when Gary speaks of research he is not talking about reading 10 ads, or looking at 10 business models. Uh Uh, he is talking about mowing through 100’s of ads or different business models. It’s all about the numbers game of plowing through the dross for the jewels.

The thrust of this idea is great for many businesses but it seems to me it would be ideal for off liners. Think of the expansion of one’s business that could occur over a years time if that one day a month were spent checking out other people’s off line money making ideas, ads, headlines and taking action based on that new found research to boost your own bottom line!

That is the “treasure hunting” mind of Gary Halbert, . . . one amazing guy.
