How to find Cold Calling Leads?

I have read "The Great telemarketing report" (Awesome report btw, can't remember who wrote it but a lot of credit to them), and am going to start my calling campaign tomorrow, but I'm unsure where to get the leads from? I'm not a confident over the phone guy which is why Im nervous about calling random businesses but I know I can get over that as I can offer great value and I imagine it gets easy after the first 10/20 calls. So anyway I thought about just getting leads from Yell.com/AREA but there is huge variety there, so does anyone know if there is a way to find cold calling leads?

    Just pick up a phone book

    or a newspaper

    or your local penny pincher, green sheet or whatever the freebie local paper is called there.

    Plenty of prospects there.

    Check out manta or yellow pages. There are plenty of contacts there. It is very helpful especially if you are targeting business. Also very convenient.
