1st Post - Local Website Advice - Thanks In Advance!
Thank you in advance for your thoughts and advice.
So my friend is just about to branch out on his own and start his own business, now his main trade is plastering, however he is also going to be doing other trades too. You've probably heard "jack of all trades master of none" but this guy is master of all, he is one of those guys who is just damn good at everything. And this is the main reason for me joining here today, you see...
He wants me to build a website for him, however i don't know how to approach it. Would i take his business name and build one site or build a fresh site for each trade? Im sure there are pros and cons for each, for instance one site using his business name as the domain will be really good for brqnd awareness, howeve a new site for each trade would probably be easier to rank with exact match domain names.
Now i know this is probably going to take some time to see results whichever way i decide to go with this, but id just like to know what you'd recommend.
So far my idea is to build the one site and simply create a new page optimised for each keyword for each trade e.g.
Best plasterer city
Cheap plasteter in city
Reliable plasterer city
This way i will have a mass of indexed pages targetting loads of different terms. The way i see it, if i can rank 20 to 30 pages for each trade even if they were only receiving 5 searches each per month each trade would receive about 30 visitors each month, even more if top spot rankings are achieved.
Which spread across about 10 trades would result in at least 300 visits per month, and this is probably the absolute minimum, i would guess it would be closer to 1000 visitors.
Also for each term i will be creating a short youtube video and ranking that.
Anyway your thoughts are appreciated, thanks in advance.
