Lowest converting offline niche?

When attempting to make sales to offline businesses, what has your experience been with places that are tough sales? For example, I typicallly sell mobile websites and facebook mgmt. I have yet to sell anything to chinese restaurants. I also find that dental practices are tough sells. How about other people's experiences?

  • It is an art to close the chinese restaurants let me tell ya!

If I was to add one to the list, it would be any antique shop or even sports collectibles shop for mobile. Half of these places are owned by our elders, so they could care less about a smart phone haha!

Exactly. Sometimes, they seem to lack time and knowledge to even care about having an online presence. It is really worth it to target business owners who you know are into the online craze and understand it all.

Dentists are tough to sell to, but lawyers are pretty easy depending on the lawyer of course. Family owned businesses are best because you barely have to go through any gatekeepers.

Edit: yes, sports shops are harder because they get clients who buy stuff one on by one. Lawyers get bigger clients who pay more, so paying a lot isn't tough.

Typically the ones that EVERYONE and their brother approach.

Anything healthcare: dentists, plastic surgeons, etc

    Attorneys

Those businesses have heard it all and hear it 100+ times a week from internet marketers trying to pitch some service or product. While these niches are typically the most lucrative, they are also the hardest to close.

Find unique approaches and ways to get them interested that others have not thought of before. Takes a little outside the box thinking but is certainly worth it.

    Best regards,

Statistically through direct mail, email marketing and cold calling, dentists and law firms have been the lowest response rate, lowest converting, etc. I should say though, that small law firms with one or 2 attorneys aren't as bad, but the bigger firms 5-10+ attorneys are definitely harder sells. Dentists are used to being targeted and there are very big niche exclusive companies that target them. Same with law firms but I would definitely say that dentists are the toughest.

Honestly i have had the worst luck with wedding photographers, to the point in which i won't market to them anymore.

Even though statistically attorneys are one of the lowest it seems to be one of my best niches for leads & new campaigns but it's all in how you advertise.
