Anybody Here Offering A Full 30-day Money Back Guarantee On Web Design

Is anybody here offering a full "No Quibble" 30-day money back guarantee on their web design services? How is it working for you?

I'm looking at my local competition and NOBODY is using a USP. Figure it might be a good way to set myself apart.

Is it necessary to open yourself up to abuse and risk by doing this?

Web design is hard enough work as it is, especially since most designers don't present their clients with a strong up front contract to control things like who is involved in the process, how many revisions they get, and more.

If this is the only reason or the main reason people would buy from you, the problem lies elsewhere.

People buy because you have credibility with them. They deeply believe that you can solve their urgent problem. Otherwise you become a commodity and so price becomes the determining factor. How are you addressing this issue?

I agree with you 100% if we're talking about face-to-face sales.

But if you're going to get clients from your web site, how is your online pitch any different from the next guys? What is your USP?

I also think that if you're not using an air-tight contract... how serious can you be about your business?

The problem here is likely that you haven't niched down.

You solve web-driven leadgen/sales problems for plumbers, say. That's one website.

You solve these problems for accountants. That's another site.

The copy, designed to get them to call you, is all about typical problems that niche faces which you fix.

    Now it's not generic.

I happen to be in a niche without much competition, compared to web design. So for the moment I have one sales training site. However, this is really a mistake, and over the medium term I'll be developing niche sites about sales training for lawyers, real estate agents, accountants, etc.

When I speak with business owners and they "get" that I know their field--and I must, because otherwise I could not have said what I just said to them--I have instant credibility. That's how you do it.
