Anyone recommend a good list broker in the UK?

Hi gang,

I'm looking for a good list broker, that has lists of businesses in the UK. I'd be using the list to cold call, selling marketing consulting/websites, etc.

      Yes Mike and hilite are solid. As Nicola says they've been around a long time, infact first met Mike at a event in '99!

    Maybe im missing something, but whats the benefit of buying lists/paying per lead, when you could use lead generation software like places scout to generate your own leads - and then narrow them down using your own filters?

      Hi Sonny,

      Good question. I've got nothing against those tools. But I just have more faith in custom lists.

      Some big-hitters I follow use lists, and I want to get my data from sources other than Google+ Local/Places, as businesses that are here are not necessarily advertising. Whereas if I can buy a list of businesses who have advertised - this is much more valuable to me.

      Plus, I'm happy to pay the money for someone else's hard work, as opposed to using my own time messing with tools. But that's just me, and we're all different, I suppose.

        Hi there,

        That makes a lot of sense,

        I didnt know you could get tailor made lists of just businesses that are advertising, - I didnt know that was a criteria you could have - I thought it would generally be like tailoring your lists dependant on how many employees a business has, or how long they have been in business ect.

        And by advertising, do you mean a tailor made list of businesses that are doing newspaper advertising, or are you referring to a list of businesses that are advertising online?
