My Email got a 55.9% open rate

This is the best open rate I ever got from an email blast I sent so I thought I would share the subject line with everyone.

Some things to know:

1. The email was sent to 1,107
2. It was for my local SEO service
3. My Local SEO service is geographically exclusive which means I only help 1 of each professional per city.
4. I had the email, name and city for each contact
5. I chose a specific professional niche for this email

I didn't use Chiropractors, but I'm going to use Chiropractors for this example.

The subject line was: Chiropractor in "City" (city was a merge code with the actual city name)

In the email I talked about how I was looking for a "Chiropractor" in the city for my Local SEO service.

      Use this as a subject line if you want a silly open rate:

      "Are you guys still open???"


      The three ??? marks accentuates the subject line. Sounds and feels like an exasperated customer doesn't it???

      Most e-mail programs show people snippets of the e-mail. For that reason you do something like....

      Subject: Are you guys still open???

      {I was wondering if you guys are still open for business at the present time. I tried searching for your business on the internet...}

      I put those {} to denote when the "snippet / preview" portion of the e-mail would start and stop.

      The snippet is designed to "force" them to open the e-mail to continue reading.

      You go on this diatribe about how all you could find their competitors laced with some language that evokes visuals.

      Embed your call to action 3x. Subtly and directly. "So call me back at..." and "when you call me back" and "those who do call me back" or whatever your preference, but you get the point.

      You will consistently get 15 calls per 10,000 SPAM messages.

      5 will be super motivated....

      Then you lead into your SEO talk.

      Honestly, I was hungry, and SPAM fed me. I studied the copy writing greats on this forum, and concocted that when I was a noob. Outsourced everything to India...

      Those customers hate me.

      I needed foods...

      Oh... I have 1.5M e-mail addresses and a connect to help you get a quick 10k e-mails out if you are hungry and need foods.
