"Here's what bothers me about some offline marketers..."

Hey Offliners,

It really bothers me when I get emails from offline marketers who are trying everything they can to get clients, but it seems that nothing is working.

After spending hours of my time talking to them about their business, it usually comes down to the same old things.

1. Mindset. You can't accomplish anything great without the mindset to do great things. You have to protect your success mindset with your life.

2. Poor planning or lack of planning. Most consultants still wing their day, weeks and months. They don't plan for success, so is it any wonder they struggle?

But, the worst by far is the next one.

3. Incorrect message to market match. This is arguably just as important as your mindset.

Think of it this way:

- If you're saying the wrong things in your sales message to the wrong market, then obviously you're not going to get hot leads.

- If you're saying the right things in your sales message to the wrong market, then obviously you're still not going to get hot leads.

- Also, if you're saying the wrong things in your sales message to the right market, then you're still not going to get the level leads you want.

- However if you're saying the right things in your sales message to the right market, then you've just hit paydirt.

That's why I always say that your chances of having huge success becomes more likely when you pick a lucrative target market and create sales messages for that specific market.

It's really sad that so many offline marketers and consultants get so hung up on choosing a niche, vertical or industry, that they never do anything.

However the reality is that when you pick a niche, you don't have to only work with that specific type of business owner for the rest of your life.

You can and should create complete marketing funnels for any and every vertical that you can serve effectively.

And I know that some offliners say they'd rather be working with clients instead of creating assets like fully functioning and complete marketing funnels, but that's just crazy talk.

When you have a complete funnel from beginning to end, that's now a asset that gives you income, freedom and a future asset to sell.

Plus, positioning yourself properly to your target market is also a essential part of your offline business.

You should never put yourself in the mindset of choosing whether to work with clients or spending time creating positioning tools like niche specific resources.

Make time for both.

Are you telling me that you can't dedicate one hour a day to putting together a plan and working towards it.

So, maybe you don't get the entire niche specific lead gen funnel set up the first week. However, if you stay at it, you can get it done in two or three weeks.

And as time goes on, you're able to do a little bit more each day and week until finally you hit the point of critical mass.

That's when you have the website done, the followup emails written and scheduled in your autoresponder, the first display, facebook or linkedin ad written and a outline of how you're going to work the leads.

Then, that's the point where you actually pay for the ad in a trade magazine or start a targeted facebook or linkedin ad campaign.

When you break it down like that, it's not too hard.

That's what I do.

Now, go close some deals,

Chris
