Your book SHOULD be ranked with "Elmer Wheeler" (Sell the Sizzle Not the Steak)....."Frank Betcher" (How I Raised myself from Failure to Success)......Robert Cialdini (Influence-the Psychology of Persuasion)......Seth Godin (Permission Marketing).....Robert Collier (The Robert Collier Letter Book).....Stan Golumb (How To Find, Capture and Keep Customers).....Bob Morrison (Promoter's Gold)....and a few others I can't remember offhand.

It is people like you, who have gone out and DID IT.....who can be counted on to "speak the truth" so that "students" of Sales, Marketing & Promotion can have a SOLID BASE on which to "Launch" their "Independency" Careers.

My dad always told me, "Who Ever Controls Your Income - Controls YOU!"

So.....as a young man out of college I got a "j.o.b." with General Electric Corp in downtown Chgo and....2 wks in I go to a luncheon and a secretary comes up to me and says; "Did you know you were the replacement for a man who was just about ready to get his "Vested Retirement Rights" and GE fired him"?

You coulda blew me over with a feather. So....when I got home that night, I sat my pregnant wife down and told her I WILL be spending EVERY spare minute.....looking for some business I can start because I did NOT want to get closed to retirement and they bounce me out.....replacing me with a younger person at half-price!

Thus.....a few mos later I found a "Biz-Op" ad in the WSJ.....phoned the Co.....flew down to Florida and became a Dealer for a new type of Home Alarm System.....and started "Securitronics Corp" (Security Thru Electronics) and within a few mos had 17 employees.

Thanks, Claude. I'm just about finished with "The Unfair Advantage Small Business Advertising Manual". A lot of the concepts are review for me, but it's always nice to see how other people implement. Also, I could see where someone with little or no experience with advertising a small business would absolutely love it. It is very easy to follow/digest. I'll leave a review on Amazon as soon as I'm finished.

This is the first of Claude's books that I got and read, and I like it the best.

My review:
"Claude has tons of experience, and it shows. ...there is plenty in here for experienced salespeople. This isn't a thin ebook--it's a thick, packed manual of how to sell that just happens to be focused on advertising sales.

I was impressed and I'm a sales trainer. My students are recommended to get this book. It took me several sessions reading on my iphone to move through all the material, and I'm glad it did, because this book isn't fluff. Overflowing with real-world sales tactics, "Selling Local Advertising" has plenty to offer even experienced salespeople. Anyone who thinks they know it all about selling should head directly back to the beginning of the line. Sales is a field you can spend a lifetime in and still learn something new every day.

What I especially appreciated about Claude's book is that it will get under your skin and hit you with an infectious CONFIDENCE and OPTIMISM...and these are what get you heading from the safety of your home or office into the outside world--where there's money to be made."

EDIT: Although Claude's copy says it's just for people selling advertising to local businesses, this is positioning and not really the case. The content is excellent for ALL salespeople--anyone with anything to sell will learn a lot.

Here are really nice and good thoughts. I think that for this purpose you should try to do online advertising. That was the best way to advertise your services or product.
