Six tricks to landing offline clients

I'm just going to straight into this since I know many of you guys are quite busy people. So here are my six tricks that I learned about over the past few months of doing this.

Approach them without trying too hard to sell

This is key. Whether your approaching system is utilizing a cold call, a nice email, or even a postcard, it doesn't matter. The key is to first snag their attention and get yourself out there. DO NOT sell straight away.

What's in it for me?

This is the only thing that clients are thinking about as you try to sell them on something. Think about how you create value for your services, and then see if you were to buy the service from yourself. If you wouldn't buy it from yourself, you need a new proposition on how you create valued of your services, or maybe you just need to start offering services that they will actually enjoy.

Outsource everything

Don't be afraid to outsource everything from the leads, to service delivery, and even to how your clients are prospected. Having college kids do some work for you may be just the thing you need to get yourself some clients in your area.

Follow up

Sometimes, the business owners who are rude and sometimes mean can turn into real goldmines as clients. Don't be afraid to be nice to clients and to follow up with them even when they don't seem like the ideal customer. Again, be sure to follow up with business owners because I could never stress how important this since some clients can forget that they have been talking to somebody online about furthering their business.

Give freely

I have had clients who would freely hand me an additional $50 or even $150! Why? Simply because I did things for them that I didn't charge them for! For example, I remember editing a mobile site for a client without charging them. This involved a lot of work, but I did it for free because I didn't feel the need to charge them. Sometimes, you need to give them something before they feel the need to give back to you.

I even recommend giving something FREE of charge to those clients who REALLY are close to paying you. This helps land clients very easily. Trust me, it works.

Create immeasurable value

Be sure to give them everything. If a business is paying you $300 or even $3,000, give it up to them by giving them something nice by offering them complete and top notch value! This is the only way to succeeding! Every good offline marketer knows how vital it is to simply CREATE value in the eyes of your clients. If you can show them the power of using YOUR SERVICES, you got it, and you can land any client you want!

I hope this helps in some way for those of you struggling offline marketers!
