Neil offers some great tips here, especially a very surprising one about a hot topic right now: infographics!

Interviews like this take calls, emails and time to set up...and more time to edit afterwards. Let me know if these are helpful to you, so that I know to continue doing them.

  • Good work Jason, maybe next time delve deeper, give someone like him harder questions that are more suited to his level of 'expertise' as they all /we all like to show what we know
  • This should probably be moved to the IM section because this is about SEO.

    • The guys in the SEO section just want to argue like two carpenters on a job, and then the Offliners might never see it. Also, it's more about growing your presence online than just SEO. His comments on infographics were very significant.

I am not an SEO guy, so I don't have "deeper questions" to ask in that area. The ones I did ask mostly came from Colin Theriot's Cult of Copy participants. I asked in this subforum and in the Copywriting subforum for people to let me know what questions they'd like me to ask, and didn't get any responses.

Thanks. I was able to schedule a 10 minute interview with him, and had to wait a couple weeks for the open spot. We talked for about 15 minutes and I edited it down a bit. With setup and editing, the project took over two hours.
  • Definitely. It's amazing how much you can get out of a short interview like this, as opposed to having to read a written version of something like this.

Straight to the point. Love it.

And kudos on getting to interview Neil. Guy really knows his stuff.
