Hi

I'm looking for any "outside the box" ideas for generating leads in my field.

I work in commercial insurance, higher the liability the better but we cover any business and my main goal is gathering renewal dates, decision maker etc from companies and then contacting them closer to their renewal dates to offer quotes.

I currently use the good old fashioned telephone alongside zoho crm to manage it all.

I'm thinking there must be other ideas I could be looking at, possibly Linkedin as one? It would be great if my potential clients were contacting me

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah, I was going to say just show up with the news that they are about to renew, and you are there to offer a quote.

The easiest thing to get rid of is an e-mail.
The second easiest thing to get rid of is a phone call.

I love that. Also nothing says not professional to me like cold email. A cold call is better but not to the level of cold walking. The people who cold walk our dealership are always from the biggest companies that we want to do business with.

I own one of those "high liability businesses" and while my premium is not as bad as some others, I am still paying thousands for it.

While I accept that it is a cost of doing business, I wonder if you might have some success exploiting the feeling of persecution many high risk businesses have.

There is the double whammy of higher premiums and more risk of getting sued by others.

I don't have a specific idea for you, but I think there is some fertile emotional ground to work with, if you put some thought into it.
