Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I'm conducting a market survey and I appreciate any feedback that you can provide. There is a free gift at the end of this post available to all who participate, my way of thanking you for your time.

Here are my questions, grouped by category:

Wordpress Usage:
1. How many Wordpress sites do you currently own or manage?
2. How many Wordpress sites have you created in total over the course of your career?

Security & Optimization Awareness:
1. Are you aware that stock Wordpress installs are easily attacked by hackers?
2. Are you aware that many themes and plugins contain malicious code?
3. Are you aware that a standard Wordpress install receives a YSlow grade of C, and that this grade will decrease over time as the site grows unless specific optimization measures are taken?
4. Are you aware that all of these issues can affect your rankings, bounce rates, conversion rates and user loyalty?

Security & Optimization Practices:
1. Do you manually harden each Wordpress install you launch?
2. If not, do you use hardening plugins to implement some security Best Practices automatically?
3. Do you routinely use W3TC or Cloudflare in your Wordpress installs?
4. Do you optimize your Wordpress database on a regular basis?
5. How often do you perform Worpress core upgrades? Theme and plugin upgrades?
6. Do you maintain routine backups of your Wordpress sites? Do you create full clones with all of your settings preserved, or are you just backing up your database and files? Do you store your backups on a remote server?
7. What spam strategies do you use on your Wordpress site?
8. Do you perform routine security scans of your site, especially after installing new themes or plugins?
9. Do you use standard EIG shared hosting companies such as Bluehost, 1and1, Hostgator, etc.?

Would You Be Interested In:

1. A WSO that explains exactly how to harden and optimize your network of Wordpress sites in the most time and cost efficient manner? Would you pay $20 for this?

2. A WSO that explains how to make a profit offering Wordpress security and optimization services? Would you pay $20 for this?

3. A fully managed Wordpress hosting service that includes standard cpanel access, a non-EIG hosting company dedicated to speed and performance, manual hardening and optimization of each Wordpress install as well as routine security scans, database optimizations, upgrades and fully cloned and remotely stored backups? Would you pay $10 a month for this?

4. If you were willing to set up all of your future Wordpress websites on fully managed Wordpress hosting as described above, do you think you could sell it to your customers as a value added product/service? Do you think you could charge your customers a $20-$50 a month "website management fee" and make a profit from using this type of hosting service?

Thank you for your time and the thought you have put into your answers. I will give each person who participates in this survey a free security scan for one Wordpress installation. Just PM me with your website address and the email you would like the results sent to.
