I have been in print advertising for the last fifteen years. I visit here every now and then, have bought some products, tried to igbuild an online list, tried to promote some products (even pretty much free ones) and have failed in the online world. About eight years ago I came down with cancer and lost a kidney over it. I am cancer free now (I hope) having a MRI on the other kidney Tuesday. I have lost so much energy over being sick I really wanted to come off the road and work from home. I have tons of repeat customers (I sell advertising for a publication company) and my team mates do too (we are split up in different territories all over the US) I mentioned something to one of them a few hours ago about all of us joining together and producing a publication of SERVICE PROVIDERS (we have all lost customers do to closings of businesses). It would target the whole US except the big cities. We work in smaller towns for a organization publishing maps and magazines. What I would like to know is if you think forums like this would support something like that or would it be a waste of time. I really don't want to put my heart and soul into something and it not be supported. I am just going to be blunt here.....I have noticed that the little guy on forums get ignored even if they have a good deal or good product. So in my mind the forums are all about the big gurus and no one cares to support the little guy unless one of the big guys come in and review the product.
Please let me know what you think......My team mates and I could have something put together pretty quick....we will not be putting a lot of money into it with fancy sales letters and stuff at first...tired of wasting money and would like to keep it around 20.00 bucks an ad so the little guy can afford it.
Thanks in advance
Bree
PS
I am not allowed to sell other products to them but I can give them what they need to keep the business running and that is service providers (SEO, Webmasters, etc....) the advertisers in the publication would be selling services to them.
