Finding Manufacturers in China (HELP!!)

Im just going to throw this out there, I really need help and Ill be very specific...

Im trying to find Dairy Supplies for my company, we are a new company that serves Dairy Farmers with a unique chemical that we sell a lot of, but we want to add to the list of stuff we can supply to the dairy farmer.

Here's my problem for example....

I'm searching Alibaba and other "China" stuff websites and trying to find for example a "Feeding Bottle and Nipple" for calfs...

I'm getting prices of $1.45, or $1.35 each from a bunch of them. That's their best price if I buy 2,000...

Plus I have to accept at a seaport in Washington then ship to my location in Idaho...

Now here's the problem.

Local distributors here are selling the same stuff for less then what these chinese companies are selling a quantity of 2,000 to me.

I really think Alibaba is a joke, I think its a website that really takes advantage of people who don't know any better.

Every time I get a hold of someone and Ive talked to over 40 companies on this topic alone - THEY ARE ALL DISTRIBUTORS!!!!

They sell hair dryers and trinkets and Feeding bottles.

Anyway does anyone out there have any tips on really reaching manufacturers in china.

I know this is a little of the topic for warrior forum, I hope that "Offline" placement of this thread doesn't piss off the moderators but its the best fit I could find.
