How many of you warriors use a dialer for cold calls?

Do you use a dialer for your cold calling? If so which one and why?

I have tried out call-fire cloud call center and personally wasn't impressed, because it won't integrate with my crm of choice.

I use a softphone on my computer instead of an autodialer. I can cut and paste the phone numbers in as I go. Almost as fast. An autodialer might save me 1-2 seconds per dial.

Do you use any type of crm with it or keep notes on the results of your calls?

I use a spreadsheet. While I'm waiting for someone to pickup the phone, I enter in my data. Since I already have the phone number on my clipboard after having entered it into the softphone, I simply paste it into the spreadsheet cell.

I have some conditional formatting that alters the phone numbers so that they are all in the exact same format. It then does a comparison and highlights the number in red if there is a previous record for it, and any notes I've made about how the call went.

I do plan on getting a crm, but I will keep using this system because it's really fast while calling. I'll customize the crm so that I can import my spreadsheet at the end of the calling day.

I used salesforce in a job I had once. I wasted so much time entering in data in different pages and boxes. With a spreadsheet, I can jog through cells quickly and enter in data as I talk.

I'm new to calling though, so I might not be doing things the best way yet.

          skype with escrow dialer FTW.

Cost me $12.99/mo total. unlimited calls. Beats all other cheap options out there.

Combine that with mobile renegade, now you have some powerful shit in your hands.

I don't like Skype because you never know when they will limit you for using them for commercial purposes. Some people get away with it, some don't

Create 2 accounts. Yeah it's 2.99 more a month. Been doing it for years, and unless you're calling 500+ a day you're fine. If they block the calls, switch accounts. Never had a problem with them.

Exactly I use it for my calling and I have never had a problem with making hundreds of calls in a day.

How many more calls per hour are you able to make using that dialer compared to you doing it manually in your opinion?

I can do about 75-120/hr if I set it to 1 second delay and don't leave messages.

Definitely much more efficient. And you have all contact information right in front of you and can easily take notes.

import/export csv and campaign file abilities.

For someone ballin' on a budget, I wouldn't recommend anything else.

      Garble,
Which one are you using? Any Fair Use agreements in place?

I'm running linux and my softphone is Linphone. They recently added the ability to record calls which is great for me. When someone spells something out for me, I can always go back to the recording in case I missed something.

I buy my phone numbers and minutes from voip.ms. There are 2 types of plans you can buy from them:

$4.95/month (Restricted to residential use, up to 3500 minutes per month)

        $0.99/month ($0.01/min, No restrictions)

They offer the ability to create IVRs, and different routing for your DIDs. Each morning I run a script which checks the latency and jitter to each of their North American servers. I then change my DID routing to the one that offers the best call quality. Takes about 5 minutes, but well worth it to have clear calls.

Oh, I forgot to add. You can buy minutes at a fraction of a cent/minute from voip.ms. But I prefer their premium quality minutes - better sound

I use OsDial with a server that sits downstairs.

    osdial.org/

Only need your own voip account. This is really something that I can recommend for a team but for one agent it works fine too. But maybe a little overkill.
