Hey! Ya wanna make some "guaranteed bux"?

What if a biz owner were to receive an email or FB note telling them to "Google The Name of THEIR Business! and, if they're interested.......... to contact ME"....AND....when they Google "Smith Plumbing Toledo Oh"
.....up comes, on the FIRST PAGE....a Video Commercial about THEIR biz...with Contact Info?

Do YOU think the owner of this biz will contact YOU?

WELL....when "done properly"...60%....yes, SIXTY PERCENT.....WILL contact you, usually with ...."How Much?"

WHY? Because the "evidence" is right there, in front of them!

It's called, "The Proof Is In The Pudding"!

No "wondering whether or not you CAN do what you say you can do,...it's ALREADY DONE!.....it's THERE...glaring....right on their pc screen!

NOW....the only decisions your potential client has to make is;
1) Do I want this
2) Can it Help my biz
and
3) Can I afford it

There is NO question about whether or not you WILL...do what you say you will do! You've already done IT!

So.....this "technique" does require "work" and Chance....because you are "performing" B4.... there's even a "glimmer" that your potential client has even any interest in your "pre-made" thingee...however, before you undertake doing "work" for a prospect....you DO have an "inkling" the prospects you are doing this for....will be somewhat interested!

And.....in the niches I've worked in....the results have been in the 60% and above range.

So....I thought I'd drop in a "Marketing TidBit" and .....I will now sit back and watch while the "Negas" rip this apart.

Don Alm.....marketing guy

    This is actually pretty smart.

Videos are easy to produce and easy to rank. If you can't rank a video for the business's name, you shouldn't even be trying to sell online services to anyone.

Does it have value? Kinda sorta.

From the business owner who doesn't have true knowledge of online marketing, yes. Very small mom-and-pop type stuff. Even laundromats, pizza places, small restaurants, etc... They see it as extra exposure. But to people who know how online marketing works? They're not getting much (if any) additional exposure and if I were working with them, I'd much rather have those visitors come to the website instead.

But in saying that, you could make a quick couple hundred bucks off doing this. I don't personally know if 60% of total contacts closed is realistic, but for people who are very new and have jobs/time commitments this isn't a terrible idea and you can definitely make sales doing it. And those small success mean a lot.

EDIT: I misread the numbers. 60% of people contacting you back? Sounds reasonable to me if not erring on the high side, but I don't do this so I wouldn't know. Someone else's percentages shouldn't really matter anyway, for those who are serious about trying.

Well said Kerndev. One way to add a bit of value, would be to add a Call To Action annotation urging the viewer to click the link in the description & add the phone number there as well as in the title.

I've used EZVid.com (free) to make slideshow videos. It's super quick & truly easy to use. It's a bit weird with the music though, as Youtube will tell you the EZVid tracks are copyrighted...Just change the track to YT provided track & they are OK........Takes maybe 10 minutes to do a 1 minute video.

Great foot in the door strategy (I think).

I think they'd find more value in this, if you ranked them for a local keyword, rather than their business name. But I do agree, that this is a definite attention grabber & can help you gain some instant credibility.

    Attention grabbing? Yes.

    Fast and easy? No.

Is there a better way? I think so.

I've done my fair share of video sales presentation prospecting, but I believe its a lot easier to simply do a one and done case study for a vertical and show that to everyone else in the niche.

This is what I did for x in your niche, and this is what I'll do for you, call me if you're interested.

    Limited time special offer.

Has been far more effective for me.

Hope that was a good add on to your well meaning share.

    Thanks, Don.

Are you a salesperson in any capacity at all??? do you actually have a business or do you have a few adsense niche sites??

The reason why I ask this is because anyone that actually has any real selling skills can see the value of this strategy.

Ranking a video for the exact name and address of a potential customer accomplishes a few things

1.) its easy to do so it can be scaled and used as a prospecting strategy

2.) it cuts thru all the white noise of everyone and gets the attention of the prospect which is first step.

I also like los vertical niche idea a little better because it can be scaled quicker

happy turkey day to all my unfortunate buddies still living in the U.S.

        Yes, yes and no adsense.

I kinda figured a guy like you who has been around would find this idea horrible because it involves spending lots of time and doing videos on spec HOPING and PRAYING that people will respond to your unsolicited offer.

I guess if you have no customers and LOTS of time on your hand to download photos and turn them into videos
and then optimize them for Youtube then someone will eventually say yes and you might be able to make $10 an hour for your time.

I just dont see this as any kind of long term business model though.

If I see a strategy that would have promise.. I would go in and see if the process works... then I document everything as I do this and I give it to my VA to do

This is how I set up and maintain the business model

This is the way I always see things as opposed to someone who see's themselves doing the manual work.. I mean.. you don't think I would waste my time sitting actually doing what you describe do you???

I also never see a sale being an one off.. I mean geeeezzz cmon Ed ... do you know how many service upsells you can get with clients???

The whole point in todays game is getting new clients to your funnel.. If I can get you to pay me a few hundred dollars and I actually follow thru and provide value.. you dont think I will build a business relation that would allow me to extract more money over time

          hell yes??

what do you mean $10 an hour???

Eddie I think you need to stop and take a few steps back away from your buisness and learn to work

ON your business and NOT in it otherwise all you do is trade off your life one hour at a time.

The only time I really waste is here on the warrior forum and that's because My business does not need me to work it.

          anyway.. just my 2 cents

          Eddie

I've never seen one of his "videos" (photo slide show) posted besides a fuzzy one from 1970. "Proof is in the pudding?"

Don has spammed this post and variations all over the forums. From his 60% response claims he must have hundreds or thousands of these "videos" but has never posted any other than some fuzzy one from 1970. About the same year Al Bundy once scored 4 touchdowns in his high school football game.

If it is a quality real video, you could get some $$ but then it takes some work and prior on location shooting (with permission of the owner).

Or if it can generate traffic being ranked for other local search terms, that would obviously help.

Ranking a crappy fuzzy slide show for the business name is like standing in the doorway of that business and handing out a crappy brochure to the people who are ALREADY there. Not a whole lot of value for the biz owner.

There is one cool auto-edit app I found that only requires you to upload video clips, photos, then choose a theme and music and it spits out a nice video w/ music/theme effects. You can do it from your smart phone. No editing on your part and they come out nice in a couple minutes.

here it is in this thread, and a few recent examples i did in 5 minutes.

Notice I make no claims of guaranteed bux, I am not an affiliate, It is not my WSO, I do not sell anything from a website or my signature. I do not claim you can get 60% response rate. I included recent examples I did in the last 2 weeks, not way back in the day while Al Bundy was scoring 4 touchdowns in a single football game

      2 Comments;

      1) My videos are not "fuzzy-slide shows"....they're from Dave Cisnero's, Nick Mann and Mark Helton with personal Photos, Logos and contact info of the target client. Check out some of THEIR vids with great background music and....VOICE-OVERS! (Nick just released Volume 8 and I don't think he'd like HIS vids called "fuzzy".

      2) I use these as "attention-getters" and "foot-in-the-door" (No mater what client pays!) ....to the upgrade of "KeyWord -LeadGen". ex: Smith Auto Repair is upgraded to "Auto Repair in Snookesvile, GA" where the client (Smith) pays for Leads every week or month.

Here is your post on spec videos for restaurants. It's the only one I've ever seen posted, the slide show for the restaurant Ambrosia.

Maybe you should post some recent examples. With 60% of your prospects becoming very interested, you must have hundreds.

      100% correctamundo

What I have found and let me know if you have experienced similar results

once you get the initial sale.. does not matter how much.. and you over deliver.. you have accomplished the most difficult thing one can do is credibility and the thing I find is that you now become their tech guy so to speak.. so you can stair step your other services and soon you have a lifelong client- they trust you and you are part of theri inner circle

of course you still need to me semi intelligent and provide value.. but i am sure you get the point
