Marketing a Bookstore (offline)

I'm a marketing student and I had an idea a while back to promote a bookstore (they sell books both online and in physical locations) inside the university's library.
The main idea is this: You're a student and you enter the library looking for a particular book, but you don't find it. At the reception you'll see one of those transparent boxes (with the bookstore logo on it) in which you can submit a form/request for that book. With your details of course.
In about a week or so you'll receive a message saying the book has arrived and you can read or borrow it from the library. The book will be found on a shelf specific to the bookstore that donated it.
The key to this is that, for students to be able to borrow it, the book must be entered inside the library's/university's database, which requires that the books are owned by them also. So the bookstore has to give them for free, in exchange for their logo being above the shelf and having a roll-up banner in front of the library.

Hundreds of students visit the library and this would be great for exposure to this particular segment. Sounds good, but at the end of the day there must be a way for them to generate more sales off of this campaign. Any ideas/suggestions?
