we want to improve our consulting business & our lives. I did a lot of research & have started using some of them. It would help others if you add your productivity tools here. What are we missing?

Project Management - Asana.com

Scheduling: Google Calendar

Toggl - For Time tracking

Boomerangg: Gmail extension for email reminders/ followups. cants do without this. they have a mobile ver too

Any.Do - Tasks, Lists, reminders. great mobile app & also a neat chrome extension

Any suggestions for cloud based Accounts receivable & payable app? i dont need invoicing.

Sales CRM? I hear nutshell is better than salesforce esp for the cost. any thoughts?

Warriors, many of you have invested time & money into various tools that hae failed & worked. please share your lists to help each other. Happy Holidays!

I have tried out just about every CRM out there. I came across Capsule CRM which is online and it syncs with most of your devices and many other sites we use. They have 250 contacts for free or 50,000 contacts for $12 a month. check them out. You might like it.

I'm a big advocate of Nutshell. I have used almost every CRM out there and Nutshell has been perfect. They do have some room for improvement, but for the most part they are by far the best for what I need.

For project management, I use Teamwork. I used to use collabtive and run it off my server but Teamwork is so much easier.

Another tool you should check out... Wave Accounting and Signals to see when people open your email.

Just checked out Nutshell. Sold!! The e-mail from timeline feature is a new one and it sets Nutshell over the top.

      Thanks!

Instead of signals, we are use yesware. does a great job.

we are loving asana but we want something for our crm. our search led to solve 360.

i m currently evaluating it. 5 stars & amazing reviews on google apps.

what I like about solve 360 - PM + CRM. With something called as a project blog that can be shared with a client (minus areas that you want to keep hidden from the client). looks like a great fit for a services business. Anyone using it here?

I liked the way you described to plan up for the 2014 management. Well the accounts receivable and payable app that I am using can be a choice for you as well. Currently I am using the expense reporting software from Replicon ( Web Expense Reports | Online Expense Reports Management | Cloud Based Expense Reporting | Replicon ). Its cloud based, featured with user friendly and calender based interface.

Sales force is great to keep track of your costumers. For Accounting, i would recommend Quikcbooks

When I was doing a lot of cold-calling for my web design business, Salesforce was fantastic for keeping track of all my leads. One guy was in the pipeline for about 1.5 years and with the automatic reminders I set up to nudge me to call them, eventually I landed them as a client for $7K worth of business. I tried 3 or 4 of the others but I just enjoyed using the Salesforce interface the most.

Xero for accounting is really handy as I'm in the UK and they support importing $ transactions and you can hook up your paypal and bank with them for easy and automatic reporting.

Linktrackr for tracking my affiliate links. I haven't tried any other tools like this but Linktrackr does everything I need and it's great knowing which links are converting so I can swap in/out different product offers based on the stats.

Mindmeister for mindmapping. Great tool for fleshing out ideas. I've been using this for about 3 years now.

Market Samurai is still up there.

Geckoboard and Trello (and of course Improvely) are what keep me focused on growth every day. Lists of marketing activities and ideas, and dashboards to show how much they move the signup/churn/MRR meters.

One of the four screens always on in the office just rotates dashboards powered by Geckoboard, which have all the key metrics for my businesses, as well as things like server status, current traffic levels, etc.
