Where's your sweet spot?

I'll tell you mine, then you might want to chime in where's yours.

May give others an idea where they can focus.

Mine is where I guide and coach a client on how to do
marketing and the why of it. Combine it with
me doing some of it for them.

This seems to yield the greatest breakthroughs
for my clients.

It's the most gratifying for me to.
When a client has the intellectual breakthrough then
can implement it himself because he automatically
is programmed to do the right thing.

Then there is the part where two minds spark
greater ideas to implement which could of never happened
from either one of us.

Want to share your sweet spot?

Best,
Ewen

Mine is when I actually make money for my clients and they're like, "Wow! You're the real deal!"

So many half-hearted services being offered online, it feels good when you can deliver what you claim.

The sweet spot for my web site development is getting through the process, I don't have to say "Trust me" again. This is when I "reveal" the site for the first time.

Watching them go through the pages pointing out things, reading the text. That is just the best.

The next sweet spot is when the SEO finally hits, and I present the numbers for the first month, of course they already know it hit, but to see and explain the numbers, and the next course of action. Its better than the first sweet spot, now they not only understand who it looks, but how it works!

    Hey Ewen,

My sweet spot is similar to yours in that I really become a force to be reckoned with when I get the opportunity to create a comprehensive marketing plan that helps a client "get" the marketing thing.

When I say "get" it, that means that they understand why that marketing strategy can work really well for them because we've properly examined their ideal prospect and past customers.

It's almost always a done deal from there because the client knows the "what" and "why" and all I have to do is implement the "how". They're usually chomping at the bit to get things started by that point.

    Great question by the way,

    Chris

For my online marketing program, I don't really have a sweet spot. People get results, and I expect that.

My sweet spot is when someone learns a sales technique from me and has a real "Aha" moment.

I get thanked often, but I don't think the person really learned anything. My satisfaction comes when someone learns something, a principle maybe, and I know I'm the cause.

It one of the reasons I write books.

I'm surprised Claude that you didn't mention
what will be the sweetest moment...
when Mr Me says you are a better salesman than him!

My sweet spot is when a clients business that I have been working with for however many months upgrades their services again without me asking them, paid for totally from the net profits we've already accumulated for them, and are talking about us and the results we are getting for them to a lot of other business owners. That's when you know things are going well. I'm working well for them and they're working well for me.

He didn't obviously because this thread's about sweet spots not sweet moments.

Trust me, if I thought I was a better salesman that you, my sweet spot would be happy too.

That's a disturbing visual. But in any event, it's not a matter of being better - it's that we both prove there's different ways to skin a cat and I think we both get something out of our association with each other.

There's always something more to learn.

Like I can tell you, the way you've shown to bring up price using Tom Hopkin's method of "if you got everything I offer it would be $XXXXX and for that amount it'd better be great, right?" Well, I read that and discovered something.

I discovered that was awfully close to a method of bringing up price I originated some time ago.

When I first Read How To Master The Art Of Selling, it fascinated me how much I was doing the same things as in the book. Most of the techniques I was already using. But the book clarified why they worked, and polished them for me to make them more effective. That was the way I sold back then. Not now, but a few things I still use.

The "The maximum amount you can pay is..." technique, I don't think I learned from Hopkins. To tell the truth, I can't remember if I made it up myself, or read it somewhere. I probably read it somewhere. Probably in one of the books I wrote.

(Do you see what I did there?)

If anyone has read that technique before, I'd like to know. It just slips my mind where I picked it up. I've been using it for over 30 years.

My sweet spot is when clients see what my content does for them; unlike so many other things that have failed them in the past they grab their niche and shred it to bits and ask for more. Awesome!

I wrote like five things down, and deleted them all. For me, it's making the deal. It's getting the contract signed for a large chunk of change or preferably a percentage of ownership. The rest of it kind of bores me. I mean I enjoy producing results, but if I'm being totally honest where I get my jollies is in the deal acquisition. If I could sign a deal a month, I'm permanently in my sweet spot. You know the funny thing is cashing out isn't nearly as exciting or fun, even when it's big dollars.
