HELP - How to do SEO for Local Home Improvement

I've been asked by the MD of company I do some work to put together a SEO campaign so that his company will appear in organic Google searches.

How can I go about doing this?

  • If you don't know how, or never have done anything like it before, maybe you aren't the person they should be using.

    Research Local SEO, there are plenty of topics in this forum that go in great depth.

  • Seriously not something you just do like adwords which in its own right is an art. Good place to start is google local and create a local listing. Once you verify the account which will create a local google+ page get people to write a review of your services. This listing will then appear locally for your services.

      Last week you said he wanted you to do PPC and this week it is SEO?

      So unless he is an idiot, which he wont be, how come he is asking you?

      Do you know him or have you positioned yourself as someone who knows how to do this?

      Or is he asking you as a Consultant in which case how you do it is irrelevant, that's what workers are for.

      Just tell him that you will source and project manage the most effective person/ company to carry out the work.
