New Traffic on an Old Website?

My website has been stagnant since September, very few updated posts. If I start boosting traffic now with regular updates, social media, and using the tiered model (SENuke, Captcha, Fiverr, etc.), will I experience any impediments to my traffic because of that length of time? Can I still expect similar results as if I started when my site first went up?

I'm already indexed by Google and I've updated the site a few weeks, but not every week.

    Hi, Yes you can get the similar result or may be first you check your site on google search engine is it still index by this manual command { site:Example Domain } and then start with original contents every time you update. Its depend on your niche what kind of contents you have some contents need to be regularly updated and some do not require to be. Use social media ads make fan page and don't use fiver etc because these kind of services may harm your site and google don't like these kind of activities also. create more quality backlinks don't go for the paid backlinks. It may take some time to get the trafic back but it will be a reliable crowd in the end!

      Can you please specify which niche need to be updated on the regular basis and which niche not to be? I have worked on all niche approximately in last one year. But rankings of most sites tank and some gains rank automatically. Why it happens any idea?

        Hi Fancy,
        Actually nothing is automatic here, it depends on several ranking factors. Factors like site age, on page SEO, off page SEO etc. It is a big list to look into, if you can specify exact niche and situation then it will be easy to figure out.

    Try to put quality content . focus on on-page of website as well as off-site activities also. Try to build relationships and gather good comments on your posts. That would help you gather relevant audience. Don't focus on traffic only.
