Do these listing scrapers still work?

I was going to include a few local listing scrapers in my book on prospecting.

I have;
Mobile Renegade
Sniperbot pro
Places Scout

And Rus Sells GPScraper. I talked to Rus, and his scraper is being revamped. Are any of the other scrapes working today?
Thanks.

I haven't used places scout in a couple of months, but they have the best tech support out of any non-big box software out there. Anytime it breaks, they are on it within a day or so.

I have mobile renegade too. If I'm not mistaken, it uses yellow pages & yellow book so it should still work. The problem with the google scrapers is that google changes things a lot of the time.

Please don't put sniper bot pro in your book.

It has morphed into Invite only software and nobody new is being invited.

Mobile Renegade is open to the pubic, works and is continuously
      being updated.

      Really? How is that possible?

I was under the impression our support was the best.
That is a real question, how is there support better?

I don't like being second fiddle, ever, for any reason.
So if you can provide me a definitive answer and it is something that
      I can change, I will.

      Thanks.

Hey Ken, bud. I've never had an issue with your software, so I wouldn't know. LOL

Places scout is always breaking, but yeah, I've never had an issue with Mobile Renegade. Hopefully, I will never be able to vouch for your support, because the software simply always works.

    Mobile Renegade is the best.

Lead Kahuna - never tried it but it still works from what I hear.

David Sprague's Lead Kahuna. It gives you an absolutely all the information you could possibly need, from Google Maps rankings to bad reviews, social media activity, website seo, owner name, email, phone, address. I think you get my point.

The best scraper that I have ever used with great support.

      How much is it?

      Where can I get it?

I believe Power Leads Pro is the best, not just because I developed it, but for the fact that it can gather from over 20+ sources to include all the seo data, reviews, screenshots of websites, emails, contact names, annual revenue, number of employee's. years in business, SIC codes and about 50 other data columns to include SEOMOZ data. Not to mention the LinkedIN plugin for it. Create campaigns, track link clicks and open rates and a million others things.

If anyone thinks they have seen better, just let me know, we can line em side by side and test each

Could someone (Matthew, please feel free to jump in) please help me in deciding between Power Leads Pro and Places Scout. If there are existing threads that directly compare the two, please point me in that direction (I haven't found any).

These two tools seem to be the most fully-featured of the bunch. I'm not sure what the price of Power Leads Pro is and I've yet to hear back from Places Scout as to what their upgrade price is (I bought the software back in 2011).

My use case is this. I am primarily interested in gathering lead data on home improvement SMBs. I am especially looking for personal email addresses (jim@successfullocalbusiness.com NOT info@successfullocalbusiness.com), along with employee names. Other information such as business size (revenue, and # of employees) is useful, but getting quality emails along with corresponding names is the most important feature.

I will be exporting information to use in a "Cold Calling 2.0" email campaign, so this is why I'd prefer to have individual emails that are tied to actual employees, not generic or catch-all addresses.

Any insights into these two programs would be appreciated.

I haven't found any of them that hold a candle to places scout in my opinion. I'm biased though as I use it for finding negative reviews which a lot of the others aren't built to do.

I use Mobile Renegade and Lead Kahuna.

Places Scout is good as well.

Haven't tried any others, so I can't speak about them.

What I use depends on what I'm doing. Mobile Renegade is great for getting a quick, large list together for an area & niche and creating a call list of about 180-200. Lead Kahuna is an awesome tool for generating a very targeted niche list of about 75 firms only and emailing them with a campaign. See, different focus. Both have been extremely reliable.

Last time I looked at LK's page it's not available for public sale for awhile. It's supposed to be open again but isn't.

I've used places scout just recently and it is still the best and cheapest software for data gathering. Unfortunately for me I don't have a budget to avail good/private proxies which is much better than free proxies.

    Mobile Renegade works.

I'm scraping in Canada (YellowPages) and I'm using proxies. Initially had trouble getting the proxies to work but MR's tech support dealt with it. It brings in OK results 'out of the box' but I found that the results were lacking email contact info. Purchased the email scraper add-on and it's much better. It should be bundled IMHO.

Just my two cents (and with the Canadian dollar in a nose dive that's actually about 9 cents worth Canadian
