Mobile Site Redirect Script

Can anyone help me find the code that would automatically redirect a website from the desktop version to the mobile one.

from fakedomain.com to fakedomain.com/m

??

I need the code that would work on every single device that is not a desktop/laptop, or one that just redirects when it's below a certain resolution.

I've tried using media queries and other ones but could not get it to work on iphone and others. I don't want to just change the CSS but load an entire differen't (dedicated) version of the website WITHOUT loading the desktop with it so that load time is improved.
