Not a bad idea! Get the menu right in front of the prospects face without having to search for it on their website.

I saw this and was trying to figure out where they are getting data from. Single Platform is the largest of them out there so I am wondering if they have a data sharing agreement with them.

Not hardly...According to several commenters on this blog, Now Official: Google Adds Restaurant Menus To Search Results

Restaurant owners who've commented on Searchengineland.com have stated, Single Platform has updated their menus yet Google shows inaccurate and out of date menu items.

No one seems to know where they're pulling data from but this inaccurate data could prove to be more trouble than it's worth to businesses initially unless Google allow restaurants to sign off their data somehow. Hopefully G will straighten it out.

Google seems to have a problem with outdated stuff.

I was looking for a new laptop online a couple of weeks ago
Found a couple of chain stores that had the brand I was looking for.

Popped up the Google map that showed the locations and also gave special
discount pricing on the brand and model I was looking for. When I called
the local stores, I was told that the sale information popping up on Google maps
dates back to October-November of last year. It was no longer available.

The chain stores I called, said their corporate offices had contacted Google to fix
        the problem, without success..

        Interesting.
