fab fanpage for local business question

I have a friend who is completely computer illiterate.
He doesn't even have an email account (or at least one he remembers)

Someone set up a fanpage for his business several years ago. He has no idea what email was used to set it up. Now he either wants to set up his own facebook account or get access to the one that was set up for him years ago when the fanpage was set up.

The guy who set it up is long gone.

Is there a way he can get access or should he just start over? If he starts over will there be a problem is he creates another fanpage for his business there is already one set up for him?

Thanks, Ron

    Hi Ron,

here are some basic yahoo answers (didn't wan't to c/p someones answers here) - Yahoo link

If there won't be a way to recover password, your friend can setup a new page for his business and mark it as official (it depends on business). He'll also be able to report his old page to Facebook (but it's hard to get any answers from them) and ask them to remove it.

If he plans to be active on new page, old one will soon be obsolete and lower in search results.

P.S. Just make sure that he writes his credentials on a piece of paper this time
