Hi guys, I am opening a marketing firm and I wanted to include lead generation in the services I offer.

I need someone that can find lead for clients like dentists, lawyers, chiropractor etc.

I am trying to hire guys over freelancer.com to cover that and I was wondering if it was possible. Some say they can generate leads for 5$, do you think there might be a snake under that rock?

5 bucks a lead seems to good to be true. I'd suspect that they'd be low quality and poorly qualified. Be leery for sure!

Quality leads for those industries are too expensive for $5 a pop. I assume they'd simply be scraping contact info.

I have a guy saying he can do 40$ for lawyers. That sounds better since a lawyers can make tens of thousands of dollars with one client.

I wonder how much I could charge for leads to dentist and lawyers. I was thinking 70$/150$

Why doesn't your marketing firm generate the leads through your marketing?

Because I want to outsource everything and focus on selling my services B2B.

Thanks for the replies, 5$ sure is too good to be true.

How are you qualifying your leads?

If you just want names/emails/phone numbers, then just go to Infofree.com and pay the $50/Month to get all the "leads" you want.

What I mean by lead is a costumer that will walk in my client's business.

But I am starting to realize that if I want to do that I either have to make a deal with a warrior that knows how to do it or learn it myself. Afterward I can outsource the campaigns management.

I guess I am lost. What is there to learn?
You are starting a marketing firm... Do marketing!
If I was you I would setup the campaigns and then either hire someone in house or outsource to someone to manage my proven campaigns.

Unless your are trying to be a lead broker.... ?

Yes, I think it would be a good way to start.

When I say I am setting up a marketing firm its with the idea to outsource services like web development, web design, graphic design, SEO and lead gen also( I have heard its easier to sell). I don't have the experience to do a campaign that could generate lead right now. I could probably figure it out, any good WSO out there to learn lead gen?

Hehe yeah that doesn't sound too spectacular I know, its just that Id rather start right now with someone that can do it while I take care of selling the product. I would learn how to generate lead then, I can also start to make money with that right away. If I try to generate leads for clients right now there are huge odds it will fail and I don't want to risk that. Besides leads can fetch a high monthly subscription, makes it easy to split a good profit between 2 people.

You are going to fail a lot at the start. It's part of the learning process. In fact you will never stop 'Failing' in business as long as you keep your doors open, it's a cycle of two steps forward one step back.

Why would a good lead generator want to split the profit with someone who can't sell? How would you know what to teach them? How would you manage them?

It seems like you are acting through a false entitlement where you want the rewards without lifting a finger. Reality doesn't work like that. If you go into this with that attitude you will manifest failure. There are no shortcuts.

I can sell the leads, I am doing the cold calling and hes generating the lead, seams to me that its a good deal. I don't know lead generation, id rather sell the product and split the profit with the guy. Anyways I am working on that right now and we already have a client, I also found someone that is interested in the project to do the lead gen.

''It seems like you are acting through a false entitlement where you want the rewards without lifting a finger. Reality doesn't work like that.''

????? Cold calling suck mate, id rather generate leads but I don't know how. I will use my time and efforts to sell this service, once I make money with that I can do all the trial and errors I want.

                  ''There are no shortcuts''

Really? Then why are you on the WF? Making money online is a big shortcut compared to the standard way to make money. Anyways I don't see any fault with this business model, many lead generator would like to partner up with someone who is willing to find clients.

I agree with vndnbrgj about using your marketing efforts to create the leads themselves. Even if you outsource the actual work involved with marketing, the ultimate goal of marketing is to create leads that buy whatever business you are marketing. If your outsourced team are not able to produce qualified leads for you in the industries you mentioned, how will they then be able to do it for your B2B customers?

If it's only a question about cashflow to be able to pay your outsourced team to create the leads, I would simply hold off that part of the business until your marketing revenue is sufficient to pay for the lead generation.

droberge, you want to act as a broker. That's the mindset you should have.

There are plenty of guys who know how to drive traffic and get leads. You want to solve the time and hassle of getting paid. If one lead-buyer drops out, it's on you to pick up the slack and keep the cash flowing.

That said, someone offering flat $5 for leads on a website should be avoided. Find people here on WF instead. Your rates should be negotiated with each person you're dealing with (both the lead-buyer and the lead-generator).

Yes exactly, the 5$ is out of the picture, the guy I mentioned contacted me trough the WF. I figured out that there is no way to outsource local lead generation right away for cheap. At first I thought it would have been possible, just like with web developers for instance.

$5 does seem rather cheap, he might be data mining but probably not actually generating a "warm qualified" lead

In my opinion it's far more cost effective and profitable to invest the time and money in learning to generate the leads yourself. Then you have total control over the quality of the leads and how much you will sell them for. I mean it really doesn't take much to set up a PPC, PPV, Banner Ad, or etc... campaign and a lead capture page to get all the leads you want for as cheap as you can optimize for.
