Buying Web Design Leads - Possible?

I really enjoy making websites, but I am not a very personable type of guy and honestly I hate sales and just don't have the time to spend hours doing cold calls or walk-ins since I work a full-time job and only freelance on the side.

Has anyone here ever considered buying/selling leads? I don't mind "closing" the sale but the effort of finding someone who is even halfway interested in my services can be challenging.

What do you guys think?

    Here is what I'm doing now.

    I love to talk to clients and close sales - I just spend to much time on lead generation.

    So I just hired at sales guy to follow up with my leads - I have a lead funnel on Facebook that gives me aprox. 5-25 new leads every day - 50% of those are good leads.
    I send the leads to him and he follows up on the phone - when they are ready I talk to them and close them on a 5k deal - mostly lead generation

    He - my "vice president of sales" get's 1k - no cure no pay - he is VERY motivated to get the leads red hot for me.

    You could do the same - is a pain to both be making leads for ya self and to deliver.

    I get the feeling that you like to deliver, right?

      $1k per sale, on a $5k sale?

      I like to build the websites and close the sale, lead generation is nothing my strong point.
