Creating Facebook Pages for Local Businesses

Just saw that this can be done on Fiverr and wondered what others thought of the viability of trying to sell or revamp smaller businesses facebook pages?
Might be a hard sell, but then so are most online marketing ideas such as mobile websites, design, seo etc.
At least these facebook pages are quick and easy to complete?

Are you trying to create a NEW local business page on facebook or are you trying to re-purpose one already?

My thinking about repurchasing is this....

If it is of such little value that they are SELLING it...

It probably won't do me much good to BUY it.

      Hi,
I don't know much on it at the moment, but I saw the gig on fiverr and it got me thinking - how many local businesses have a facebook page and would they want one?
So primarily, I would offer to create one from scratch to get their presence online out there.

Oh I see, I can almost assure you that would be a waste of your time.

You would have to scramble just to find clients with the hopes of earning $5 from a Job.

That is not very sustainable. And eventually, the well will probably run dry.

I would search for a more lucrative area.

I was going to resell the fiverr gig, arbitrage style for a much higher price, but yeh, you're probably right about sustainability.

          Thanks dlundy

This is not a very bad Idea, but consider sustainability.

Are you going to drive around to local businesses?
            (Gas money)

Are you going to set up appointments?
            (Time spent)

How will you demonstrate the value to the business owner who doesn't know how to use Facebook?

You may have to wait 1week to speak with an owner only to get turned down 2weeks later.

You are welcome to explore it, but I personally would not.

But it is possible you could be successful. If so, Let me know

My view is that yes, many local businesses could use a Facebook page, but many just don't have the time to update it. Sometimes no page is better than an empty page.

Of course, you could offer to update it for them, but do you know enough about their business and their clients to write engaging content regularly?

Local Businesses need Facebook Page, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare, Pinterest, Youtube, LinkedIn Company Profile and Google Brand Pages and Marketing Pages. Been selling packages to business owners for $750.00 per month for several years now. Add in some Reputation Management, Google Adwords, Facebook PPC and Content Creation to get $1,000 to $1,500 per month.

Do you do all the posting on these sites as well? I have a couple of clients that have Facebook pages and they have given me admin status so I can run ads, post for them, etc. Its amazing to me how they NEVER post anything to their pages, even though its so easy to do so. You just need a smart phone, which they all have with them all the time. I think alot of business owners just don't get the whole social media thing.

Local Business don`t always need that all. You are talking about doing EVERYTHING that is possible, but sometimes that is not so good if we are talking about ROI. Everything depends on circumstances. Sometimes you can refuse to use Adwords and get bigger budget for social media, for example, and it would be more positive. You can`t make the only checklist for every business. Every business is unique.

That's a great idea to provide local business in Facebook page. But i do not know here will you get how many response ? I think if you did not create a own website for your local business then you do not create purchase and sales latter. After all i think Facebook page create is a good assuming here your local business..

  • If you are still very stuck on Facebook, then you won't make big money. Why? Because it is done. There are so my my FB fanpages out there, and practically each business has one of their own.

I do, however, believe that you should create a program or a package that consists of creating this for them where you market for them on a lot of social media sites, and then adding in a bunch of other services to help them out.

I think if you packaged this with a few other online marketing stuff as a package you could sell it as a service or offer it as a free bonus gift to sell them something else like a newsletter subscription or something..
